It would be perfect to get the 1 seed, and get to play Golden State in the first round.

Get by them and play the winner of Utah/PHX and or Houston

The two or the three seed isn't as interesting as going in as the #1. If the Lakers, Suns, Hornets and Mavs were all on the other side of the Western bracket that would be pretty sweet.

In decending order of who I want to play:

    Golden St

    Denver

    Houston

    Dallas

    Phoenix

    New Orleans

    Utah

So, I am holding out hope that New Orleans crashes and burns and Spurs win out and Golden State gets 8 seed.

Then I want Houston to beat Utah in 1st rd

Then I want Dallas to beat LA

That would be a sweet ride to Finals

The Lakers are alot easier to root for now, than they used to be.

The Hornets still have 3 second nights of back-to-backs in their last 5 games and 4 of 5 on the road...so anything is possible at this point.

    The Spurs can't stumble though.

You mean in the Kareem, Magic, Cooper and Worthy days?

Or the Shaq, Fox and Kobe days?

Minnesota, Sacramento and the Clips are on their schedule...so basically we'd have to hope that both the Lakers and Dallas beat them and that the Spurs can win out.

    Who holds a NO/SA tiebreaker?

Edit: It goes to divison record since the Spurs and Hornets are in the same divison. The Hornets have one less loss in division so they would need to lose two more games for the Spurs to have a shot at the number one seed.

It's still going to take a miracle then for SA to grab the one spot. We'll see....

    Shaq days.

I don't remember the Kareem days, he retired when i was 8.

I do remember James Worthy almost upsetting the Suns in the first round in 94.

The season series is tied with the Hornets so I think it goes to conference record.
    They have a 10-5 division record to SA's 10-6

If they are tied, then that means that NO loses to Dallas the last game, but that means that they go 4-1 in conference down the stretch, in order to be tied with SA, and therefore they would have a 1 game lead in conference record, since they are up 2 in loss column right now.

I corrected my post original post. I just hope Dallas has something to play for in their last game.
