The difference being that I said some in what I thought was a humorous and obviously exaggerated way. Who puts beer bottles in peoples' eyeballs over retired basketball players? It was implicit in the ridiculousness of my statement that it was a joke. Maybe it wasn't, in fact, it flat out wasn't funny. Sorry.

Malone's elbow may have been a long time ago but I still remember Sloan campaigning for the foul on Robinson as he was knocked out on the ground. F the Jazz.

Looks like yet another person did not see my signature. For the record and for the 2000th time- I like the Hawks too. Not nearly as much, but I thought they needed the recognition. I don't see how so many people miss my sig. I also don't see why so many people talk to me for liking the Hawks (not that you were talking about that right now per se.) He'd set illegal moving screens against bigs that would never get called because he was small. A Jazz fan would love him for that. As a fan of a team that eliminated multiple times in the playoffs due largely to those screens, I didn't think too highly of the screens.

Agreed. Two old school teams. Gotta love it

Oh and although any red blooded Spurs fan worth his weight in guacamole should hate the Jazz, I can't deny how much Pop copied the Jazz philosophies over the years. Pop may have coached under Larry Brown and Don Nelson but I truly believe he emulates Jerry Sloan more than any other coach in the NBA.
