The Lakers are looking pretty smooth, they're not even thinking twice when they commit a turnover since they know they'll get the ball back most likely without the Jazz scoring. I always thought the jazz were overrated though.
I don't think the Jazz are overated, I just think they have a tough time matching up to the Lakers. And they have too many inconsistent players. Plus, Williams/Boozer in a shooting slump at the wrong time doesn't help either.

It's hard to consider a team coached by Jerry Sloan as overated.

Looking at the 2nd quarter, you trolls still think Gasol deserve 1/2 of the MVP? Kobe Bryant is so valuable to his team it's not even funny.
Without Gasol to pick up the slack from an injured Bynum I think the Lakers would have lost homecourt throughout the playoffs. That steal was huge! I can't even remember the name of the guy the lakers traded for him, he sucked so bad.

Perhaps you're right about the matchup, but I get tired of hearing how good they are and then seeing them get knocked out year after year, sort of like... my team.

Having Gasol on the team, even when he's not scoring efficiently still allowed Odom to move over a spot and become the 3rd scorer, plus Gasol still warrants enough attention defensively that it opens up the floor for everyone else.

The Lakers get knocked on for not being a lockdown defensive team, but they really don't need to be. Their offense is so versatile and efficient that they just need to play enough defense to win. Contrast this with SAS who has a lockdown defense and an offense that is good enough for them to win despite averaging under 100ppg. Two differing styles, both have been successful over the years.

Thanks for being obvious. Same goes for Duncan, Nash, Jordan, Shaq sidekicks/roleplayers etc.

If Stern actually said that, he needs to be removed from office, like last month. I was watching it, but didn't quite hear it that way, though I do remember him mentioning the Celtics. Please verify.

I wasn't paying attention. It seemed like someone mentioned a lakers celtics matchup and he said something like he'd love to see that or something to that effect.
