Well I can't vouch for the falsely accused of rape part, though this has happened to high profile athletes before. But the cheating on his wife part, which is ALL he was guilty of (if you really believe he raped her you are dumb as dirt), is widely known to be common practice in the NBA. And he never intentionally ratted Shaq out, he had no knowledge that private interrogations would ever become public knowledge.
