it wouldnt totally SHOCK me if they traded manu for another NBA allstar to help Timmy, Pop almost traded D-Rob back in the day....remember?
I'm with you....I can't fathom them trading Manu right now. Perhaps there will be a time when changes will need to be made but I'm of the opinion that this is not the time.

This thread is ridiculous, in every way possible.
You make it sound like it would have been a decent deal even if Ben were still in his prime.
Manu is the heart and soul of this team and you should never trade your soul.
Manu stays or I'll start rooting for his new team.
Timmy and Manu are the only reasons why I am a serious Spurs fans, although I like all the rest of the guys.
Manu is just an awesome player/person, and any team would be lucky to have him.
Spurs could use Daniel Gibson and Joe Smith.
sure, it wouldnt surprise me if ginobili was traded, but come on, for ben ing wallace?
why are you people even responding to this crap ?
Is there anyone on this board who really believe that Pop would ever, ever part with Manu? I mean, he rode the guy to death - even when he was injured. As of now, Manu is arguably the Spurs best player - when healthy. C'mon guys. No way this ever happens. And why would anyone want it to happen?
Lakers= Weakest team to come out of west since Lakers of 2004
Don't you have a Celtics forum to be making idiotic statements in?
the only player on the Big 3 I would be open to trading would be Manu, because of inconsistency as a dominant player. I've said before he can go from a 40 point game to a 5 point game the next. Other than that, I don't see why we would trade him, unless we get some value for him.
I can see it happening, but only for the right value.
I will be rooting for the team that Manu will be traded for. He's the heart of the team and you dont trade a player just like that. I remember him when SA was down and trying to catch up I think against Detroit and he tried to save the ball but wasn't able to and he slammed the scorer's table with so much passion that the crowd went crazy. That was the most awesome showing of emotion I saw. ( KG's snarling, jersey popping, chest pumping antics)

Hey, I don't like your screen name.
If this happens we'll get invaded by Argentina.
Actually, if anything, you'll probably see the Argie population on the board dwindle to just a couple of posters. I hate to admit it, but most Argie spurs fans are Manu fans first. Not that this is news to anyone. All I know is I'm a Spurs fan for life, but I'll still root for Manu to do well if somehow the Spurs end up trading him. I'll be sorely disappointed with the Spurs FO though.
I think they might trade him the year his contract runs out but not before
To make the offseason go by faster, why don't you post countless pics of fine asses here.
Dude, Argentina has to follow Manu. I appreciate you being a true Spurs fan now, but I wouldn't blame you or any other Argentinian for bailing should Manu leave the team. Now should Manu retire a Spur, which I feel he definitely will, then I hope at least some of you continue to follow the Spurs.
I'm sure local Spurs fans would be pretty pissed at the FO as well.
I don't think Argentina should be ashamed of themselves for bailing on the Spurs if Manu hypothetically got traded. Especially, since they picked the right guy to bandwagon for; he's a damn unique player.
