Thats got to be frustrating. Was he actually signed to a contract?
He probably tweaked his knee trying to sign it. =(

Why did Tiago only play 19? I'm thrilled with the win, but why does Pop treat him like Duncan?

At the risk of bringing down a poop-storm, he looked like he might have been a little gassed when he came out. I know he can handle more than 19 minutes, but I'm not sure he can handle a really long stretch. I'm not saying he can't, I'm just not sure. Last year he looked gassed after some short stretches, but that was about the missed conditioning in camp I think.

I dunno... do you disagree? Did you think he looked like he needed a break, or was that just me?

After he came out, there was no need to put him back in because the other guys just kicked ass. If that hadn't happened, I'm (almost) sure Pop would have put him back in. I think it was earlier in the game that he should have been in more.

yea i think around a 9 mill 1 year. but after this last incident they restructured it to what has been told around 1 mil
Thats good news, because I remember hearing about him signing for 8.8 million but haven't seen him play at all this season. 1 million is more workable but you're probably right, the chances of him playing again are slim.

Great win. It's way more fun to see some young players instead of some old role players.

I hope for the Blazers that Camby won't be out too long.

Wow, what a game, after that horrid start, it was impressive that the Spurs came back the way they did.

I think we can officially say Kawhai has arrived. The way Leonard scored and shut down Gerald Wallace was stunning. Without a doubt, Kawhai and Tiago both should have earned an "A" tonight.

Other than one time when Tiago let Lamarcus get deep position on him (7 minute mark of the 3rd), Tiago played excellent defense and really frustrated Aldridge. I really like the fact that Tiago didn't give him any rest on the other end, and made him play defense with some very quick and nifty moves on the block. Tiago was banging.

After a terrible offensive start by Tony, he showed up in the 4th with some good stuff. The thing TP did the best tonight was keep playing defense when his offense was no where to be found. So many times you see players start out bad like TP did tonight and they let it affect their entire game. Tony kept working all night on the defensive end it paid off in the end.

Danny Green once again made some huge plays, hitting a few threes in the first half that kept the Blazers from pulling too far away, and his defense again was solid.

Sean said the end of the game that Neal's legs looked tired, and they were, but the reason I think they were is due to Neal trying to run the point. Neal is a shooter, Pop needs to trust Joseph and let him come in and run the show a bit, or Neal will continue to struggle.

Anderson looked pretty bad again. That high, stiff, upright dribble is really ugly. Call me crazy, but I still think he has the ability to make it in the NBA, but he isn't doing himself any favors with his poor play so far. After all the good reports coming out of the short training camp on him, Anderson looks really bad, and is clearly the odd man out right now.

I'm so excited about Kawhai's game, he is doing what I expected him to do, but doing it sooner than I expected. His game looks smooth, he doesn't waste energy on the court, he just looks fluid, and most importantly, he looks confident. Man this kid is impressive!!

Get a healthy Manu and TJ back, keep getting the young guns minutes, and you never know...this team may suprise many of the media experts.

It's a fair point, but this is about more than this game. This game just stood out because of how well he produced in limited minutes.

Tim: Somebody call a plumber... never mind

Tiago: I haven't felt this good since winning my Euroleague MVP
Tim: yeah, about damn time you stopped playing like a midget

Tony: RJ, just so you know, when Manu comes back you're gonna be the odd man out.
RJ: Whatever Tony. Spurs fans are hating on you more than me right now.
