To put it simply the Spurs knew they were playing the Knicks and felt like they didn't need to come prepared. This is the perfect example of how anyone can beat anyone in the NBA on any given night if the cir stances are right. And look at OKC.
But this has been a trend for a while now. We nearly let the Kings beat us. And we have come out flat against the elite teams of the league.

We only looked convincing against the Nets.

Our play is just complete all around, tbh. Our offense is painful to watch. It's 75% isolation. We don't get good shots anymore besides when we catch defenders slipping for those high post passes to a guard under the basket. We can't defend ANYONE that actually deserves to be in the NBA. Can't rebound for against any team that has more than one player under 29.

The team IQ is low as compared to the early 2000s. Some of our turnovers are just butt ing re ed. We take some of the dumbest, most questionable 3pt attempts I've ever seen. We are soft as baby poop on 5-ply Charmin Ultra. Our gameplan is gimmicky as and we don't know where we are going to get shots from when Parker can't just repeatedly lollygag into the lane for 2 points.

Speaking of Parker, he's ing useless if he isn't having an easy time scoring. Just totally one-note right now.

Tim is old. That's understandable and unavoidable and not his fault, but he exacerbates that situation with his ing slow as dirt decision-making. ing get your defender pinned and ing go into your shooting motion already. He waits for the guy to ing knock the ball out of his hand every time, or lollygags looking for a double when he's been too ing timid all game for anyone to bother doubling him. ing speed your mental process up, Tim!

Tiago is goddamned puny as .

The whole team plays like a ing assemblage of goofs; falling over themselves, tipping rebounds away from themselves and teammates, repeatedly volleying rebounds until someone on the other team who actually has the desire to win claims it for himself. ing airballing 2ft shot attempts. Doubling at the most random times for no reason leaving hot 3 point shooters wide the open. Just generally not attempting to guard anyone so they can get back on offense.

Goddamn when did the team get some ing...goofy? We used to be about business.

Just too gimmicky and silly these days.
It happened sometime after we signed this guy...

Some fluke shots by NY tonight....buzzer beater by Amare comes to mind.
I don't know how many times we say fluke shots fell until we just accept that fluke shots usually seem to fall against the SPURS for some reason. They are fluke until they play us.

Who on who tonight? I called Parker out on his terrible play and he led the collapse tonight. I called Marco out on his poor defense and a few users argued that it's a huge improvement over Neal. Then Shumpert has a career night with Belli guarding him..

Your takes are still , like always.
    , tbh..

    Parker fanboys still sucking his
TP's on/off numbers are scary bad right now. Our offense is better when he's sitting on the bench...that's how ineffective he's been this year. Hopefully he doesn't get picked for the all-star game. It'll give him a chance to rest for a week and it might motivate him to play better towards the second half of the season.

I have been concerned about the Spurs for a while now. Not going full meltdown mode though unless we see this continue until March/April.
What pisses me off the most is that they don't seem to care about getting HCA by playing like this. As if game 7 at Miami didn't make things harder for them.

Parker is a real concern right now. On every drive that he makes to the basket he is looking for a foul call rather than trying to find the best possible shot/open man. It's getting really annoying and I'm a fan. It totally makes sense why the refs simply flat-out ignore his antics after every drive to the hoop.

What is the Spurs defensive rating against jumpers? Gotta be one of the worst in the league, no?

Exactly. They only seemed to play hard in this game in the final 6 minutes, but by then it was already too late. I'm tired of this lackadaisical play and the over-reliance on the bench bringing the energy every game. Which reminds me that Pop needs to stick Beli back on the bench. They have lost their spark in my opinion.

Pretty sure we have no chance of getting HCA against the East at this point.

Too many betas tbh... Zero elite player right now...

This is sad... POP should rest Parker like Cuban did with Dirk, he should also tell him to take more 3s tbh, he was always gonna have to rely on 3s as hes slowing down...

Kawhi and Tiago can't carry ... The perimeter D is so bad... But hey they didn't get a SF so they obviously don't give a ...

Imo trade for picks at this point, complete pretender status confirmed.

He looks awkward taking a bigger chunk of the offensive responsibilities. He is more effective as a cutter and camping out in the corner. His explosiveness off the dribble allowed him to take advantage of his rotating defender and get the rim.

Thats 11 points in the last 3 games, if i'm not mistaken.
    11 points in 3 games??? He's finished.

Homecourt is the least of our concerns right now. With TP in his current state, we'll struggle to make it out of the first round. Finishing top four in the west with everybody healthy/rested for the playoffs should be the current goal for the team.

Still way early to say that. Eliminate some of those "they should have won that" losses and we have the best record in the league.

FO better be looking hard at potential moves at this point tbh. Without one we'll be lucky to make it past the second round tbh.

That's not a goal that will get us a championship then. This team badly needs home court more than any other elite team.

I'd like them to bring up Josh Howard if only to show Leonard how to play like a wing player with balls should play.
