Nothing to see here the worst FO in league just took it to another level by getting once again nothing in return.

Addendum seems mental health issue if so keep in some fashion kid and try to help him!

    https://www.poundingtherock.com/plat...ving-the-spurs
You really think that Spurs would release a player that has mental issues and instantly remove all of his merch from the shop?

How ing dumb can some of you people be?

PATFO has made a ton of mistakes over the past few years, some really bad choices and managed some situations horribly, setting the franchise back by a couple of years.
But you don't release a kid who was supposed to be the franchise's next poster boy unless he ed up big time.
And the PR statement someone wrote for him is a textbook attempt to get ahead of the situation before everyone is made aware of what he's done.

You can blame PATFO for drafting him when there were better prospects left on the board or for not making a mistake and not seeing the potential issues in his background check.
But you can't blame them for waiving someone who's obviously never going to play an NBA game again. If it was just some minor offense, they would've suspended him and maybe traded him later on.
This was something that warranted immedieate waive, we'll know what happened in a few days, stop with the braindead takes.

There’s no way the Spurs are paying out his contract though yeah? If he quit, that is.

His girlfriend just went private on her IG. Feel like it has something to do with her. Purely speculative of course, but Primo might’ve laid hands on her tbh.
Or maybe she did that because heads have been harassing her since the news came out…

Depends on what happens with his waiver wire status in the next 2 days.

If another team claims him, unlikely imo, they would assume the contract once the claim goes through.

If not, then Spurs would indeed be on the hook for his remaining contract.

He was waived for mental health reasons. It was a mutual agreement so Primo could seek treatment due to previous trauma. He will not report to any team that tries to pick him up. Do not be surprised if a few years from now he comes back to the Spurs.

Don’t worry boys, I’m on the case.

    Really ?! Just like that, not even a « o » first ?
Now that you know that he’s going through mental issues I hope you feel bad for doing this. If everybody would do that it could be a ing way to make things worst. Damn, that’s so dumb…

I don't believe that's the case because if that would be probably would have just been put in injury list or something. A treatment would have been supported, but this without any information or anything is it just so unlikely this is something mutually agreed.

I am sure Primo is his homie. You think Devin gives a about some old guys in the FO compared to Primo?
He probably should, since next summer is his extension period.

It’s actually what a great top notch organization would do, let him worry about himself first then basketball. I’m sure the Spurs organization is seeking him assistance to deal his problems. But first don’t worry about basketball. Take care of what he has to do first.

I’m sure he’ll be back in Spurs uniform once he got himself sorted.
That would be the ‘stepping away from basketball’ speech, not the ‘we’re cutting this MF, and burning all of his merch in a dumpster behind the store’ speech.

What do you mean he is deleted from the database?
Scrubbed from all Spurs social media. All merch removed from the store.

It's all speculation at this point, with a lot of things not making sense. It's hard to believe the Spurs would waive him and erase all presence (merchandise etc) if there wasn't some sort of legal jeopardy and or done something that would make it hard to face his teammates again.
Spurs have always been supportive and current team seems like they'd be supportive of someone having a rough patch.

It seems whatever occurred, it also shocked the Spurs organization. In Primo's statement, he's stated that he was seeking help for a previous trauma and I assume the Spurs were aware of this issue since NBA teams generally do their due diligence. If I were to speculate, it was a suicide attempt. Given his age and the seriousness of such an action, it's the only thing that makes sense and would reconcile with Primo's comments.

If it was a suicide attempt, they would support him. The Spurs support their players. It would be more like child porn if they are scrubbing social media and washing their hands of him. Speculation is absurd at this point regardless. We know zero info.

I agree more to story but also believe unless lawsuit involved Spurs FO not handling well. All I hope is the kid gets help nothing else matters now.

posters thinking the Spurs would wash their hands of someone and yank all of his merch because of a suicide attempt. Buford's statement didn't say anything about supporting him or standing by him in this difficult time etc...he didn't try to kill himself

    Imo in order of likelihood:

    Domestic violence
Drunk driving resulting injury to a third party
    Sexting/banging/inappropriate messages with someone underage
ing a female Spurs employee/wife of employee

If any of things happened which any could of expect a leak soon as criminal charge would become known at some point- if it is mental health thing I just hope kid gets help and whatever happened perhaps one day more will be known.

He was banging Pop's sugar baby and him and Pop got into an altercation. My homie just got out of the magistrate and saw Primo sitting in cell by himself.

There's another issue here -- the Spurs owe their fans some kind of an explanation (even if not a full one).

The Spurs are in a vulnerable position. They're doing surprising well early on but they can't afford trust issues at this point. Arrogance is no longer an acceptable answer.

They are very well aware that people aren't coming to the games.
