The thought of teaming up with other star players was intriguing to him. We better hit on this draft and coming up free agency bc Wemby isn’t going to wait for us with our “promise to get better.”

i think the Spurs have one year to do this (tanking, experimenting and be bad doing this).

Victor is very good, he's learning, he is improving, he's on track to be ROTY. I don't think this year will be seen as a problem by him if it leads the Spurs to draft one or two important players in the next draft.

but the next year, choices will have to be made: some young players should left, because of their insufficient performances or in trades. Good and/or experienced players should be added with maybe one star. And the team should really improve.

I think the pressure on the FO and the staff will be next year. not to be contenders, but at least to be a much better team and on the right track to become a contender.
