Holy , nice curve ball.
Too bad we had to sit through two hours of dialog to get to this point.
Wow, um, Jack's dad is a complete got. I hope Jack kills that mother er at the end of it.
What I don't get... why did they cap Milo? They already had control of the place.
My Thoughts:
1. Milo dead. I didn't see it coming, it didn't really make any sense, but I don't really mind. Never liked him.
2. Papa Bauer's back in the mix. Back in a circuitous, contrived way but it's good to have him back.
3. The presidential story lines have gotten worse and worse and worse every year. I think the only way to solve this is to have Jack Bauer elected President next season.
This season better wrap up with Jack capping all the Chinese mofos.
The Papa Bauer thing was a definite curve ball, vintage 24.
Yeah that's what made me think...wTF, that was unecessary, and it was clear they're objective wasn't to roll in and kill everyone in sight. They didn't nead to kill the commander.
Still though, how many times had Nadia's ass been saved...that has everyone dying for her. in ho. Whatever, I'm not crazy about Milo either, him and his pube chin and 11-year old stache.
Well, this season will probably go down as having a great premiere, a great finale (I hope, its certainly shaping up to be good), and about 14 episodes that were filled with useless White House scandal scenes and stupid plotlines that slowed down the pace of the show. This season feels like it has taken 20 days to play out, not one.
Overall I'm disappointed that the 24 writers dropped off so much after last season. This week's episode was the first episode in a while where it felt like watching 24 again...but I'm heistant to say that because it did include a lot of the "White House spy" plotline in the first half. I hope that gets wrapped up in the next episode and the last two and a half episodes will be all about Jack going ape on China and his dad.
I like how Tom Lennox went from bag to cool in like 8 episodes.
Yeah haha
I hated the out of Lennox the first half of the season, he was a complete . He's not bad now.
and I take it I'm the only loser who still watches this show here
Predictable too, I knew O'Doyle was gonna get his blown up from a fake piece.
I thought Jack was gonna commit suicide at the end...walknig towards that cliff with the gun in his hands. I mean, I didn't really think he would knowing how things typically end w/ such admirable characters...FOX would never end a series like that, but it would have made sense if he shot himself. His life is stressful as , he can't spend the anymore time with Audrey for the reasons why her father and Jack worded out to Audrey just prior to this, he can't stop doing what he does, CTU will always call him back for , and he's in a never-ending sequence where the only way out is dead. On top of it, he spent at least 24 consecutive hours awake and exerting so much energy throughout this season without eating a single bite of anything.
Seriously though, he should have shot himself.
FOX already has 24 under contract for 2008 and 2009, plus a movie to come out in the summer between those two seasons. I knew Jack wasn't going to jump, but that's what I was thinking too at first. In the end, that was probably one of the weakest seasons of 24. The last half of the finale was pretty worthless IMO, but at least we aren't left with a 9 month cliffhanger like last year.
I am most disappointed in the fact that Chang didn't die, cuz he'll probably be back to spread more of his gotry next year. Also, we didn't see Philip Bauer actually die, so I'm sure he will be back next year or later eventually. This season just has to be called disappointing. The premiere was badass and that was about it. Horrible way to follow up last year.
Yeah it was a weak finale! I have a few questions comments from last nights show:
The first thing that bothered me was why Jack didn't get the chip from his dad? He had the chance now we're left wondering if he survived. Why didn't Chang die? Will he be in next years season? Why bring Chloe's pregnancy to the show? Is the show getting softer around the edges? I know 24 was considered one of the most violent shows on tv so could this be the end of Jack kicking some serious terrorists ass? One thing that I didn't see necessary was Jack going to Sen. ers(sp?) home and threatening him with a gun. I know he wanted to see Audrey but what was Jack going to do ..kill him?? Very unrealistic!! Overall it was the weakest season and for next year what are they going to give us? We've seen the H-bombs, moles, middle eastern terrorists, Russian spies, bad Presidents, dead Presidents, so what now? Hopefully it'll be some fresh material!
I think the Chang angle will come back next year because you'll have the Chinese trying to get him back, like he hit on when walked into CTU.
I could also see the Chinese kidnap someone important to try and work out a trade, and then Jack is tasked with getting them back.
I dunno, just guesses, but all I know is next year better pick up the action. I don't care about pregnancies or love interests or any of that , I just tune in to watch Jack people up.
That, and they said the actions of the Chinese would not go unpunished, so I think that is where they will start next year. Chang will definitely be involved.
I've heard that next season will not take place in LA... I'm not sure how accurate it is, but its what I've heard, and honestly, the show needs something fresh
