Yeah, that AI/Carmelo thing has been magic, hasn't it?

    no AI tonight

Friggin' injuries ruin any chance of the Nuggets getting any consistency and chemistry. Im not panicking yet, if they suck after the all star break then ill panic.

    Its just frustrating

You guys sound like you just lost to a sub 500 team, when infact you just lost to a team with the fourth best record in the NBA, and until recently had been dominate on their homecourt. Utah has been in a lot of close games this year, 13 games this year decided by 3 points or less, 4 of their six losses have also been at the Buzzer. so its quite concievable that the Jazz could be 34-13, not 30-17.

The Spurs played their hearts out but the Jazz just simply out worked them downlow. the Spurs also shot a lot more jumpshots, but thats because they read the scouting report on the Jazz and know the Jazz couldn't stop a guy in a wheelchair from draining threes on them.

Paul Millsap is a beast, he is a natural rebounder who lead the NCAA in rebounding for three years at Lousiana Tech. His numbers aren't that high because Boozer has been healthy and has taken most the minutes at the power forward. Haffa sucks though, there is really no excuse for letting him have one good game against you, let alone letting him have his two best games of the season against you.(His previous best game was against the Spurs in that blowout after Christmas)

Nice essay but you're wrong. The Spurs were 10 points better, Pop was just 2 janitors tier than Sloan.

How where the Spurs 10 points better? They got worked on the boards, plus the Spurs would go through stretches where they couldn't hit a thing, in the middle of the first they missed like 11 shots in a row.

    Disagree.

The Spurs were out there fighting. If the bigs could have kept the rebounding decently within range, the Spurs walk away with a win.

Duncan played well. Parker played very well. Ginobili was competing. Horry played well. The hole in the middle was just too large to overcome.

DISAGREE??? "Fighting"??? You've gotta be kidding!!!

losing rbs and "fighting" simply don't go along. Wew were (-18) rbs...WHERE IS BUTLER??? WHY HE IS NOT PLAYING SINCE THOSE 2 GUYS ELSON AND OBERTO PRODUSE ???

if you play hard and "fighting":

    you block out,
    you crash the boards,
    you get RBs,
    you get stops,
you don't make multiple fatal "Horry" errors in the last 2 minutes

    The Spurs beat themselves...

    Beno is finished

Spurs should start looking to see if Dennis Rodman is still available to either play or teach these punks how to hustle for rebounds.

For ShoogarBear - I ran an unofficial look from the game log (no DVR for this game) on pure +/- for Elson and Oberto. Totals are equally bad. Keeping in mind that Oberto was teamed with the starting unit in at least the start of the 1st and 3rd quarters... (column numbers indicate each segment of floor time)

    Oberto...Elson
    1. +1 .... -5
    2. +1 .... -4
    3. -9 .... +3
    4. +3
    ------------
    Tot -6 ... -6

That -9 stretch for Oberto was when the starters opened the 2nd half on that energy-less 2-11 run by Utah. That cold start to the half would prove to be a major ditch to dig out of.

Threads like this make this place the greatest site in the world...

And you just barely beat the worst team in the West by 1 point. STFU.
You obviously just checked the box score...it was only close because of 3 ridiculous 3's by the Grizz in the last 30 seconds. 3, foul, 2 FT's, 3, foul, 2 FT's, 3 at the buzzer. Mavs make their FT's...there was never a doubt about the game...

:::cough::: no rings for the Mavs. Just a reminder.

There should be a button with the smiley's that just inserts that default comeback around here...

They got outrebounded 50-32 when the Jazz didn't have Boozer. What's positive about that
Kori with a nice dose of reality as usual...
