I picked Gist as a 2nd round sleeper but since the Spurs picked him I can edit him out of my post now.

this is one of the most depressing drafts ever, at least in the past we still had legit chances to win it all the next year, but now we might not even make the playoffs with the way the west is gonna be getting better, and to top it off, we get nothing next year cause of that old cross eyed kurt thomas

the damn best team(celtics) in the nba had a better draft than most teams, they got TWO athletic scorers. walker and giddens, teams are slacking on not making moves

Spurs needed to get more athletic on the wing and get players that can contribute....and they end up with nothing.

Probably as disappointed as I've been in a while. If the Spurs don't strike big in FA, I'll be down on this team's chances of making it far next year.

i honestly think it might be a little while until we see the spurs win a fifth championship, were just getting too old, and the league has figured us out. i think its gonna take another poor 15-win season and an eventual lottery pick to get us back on track...and maybe a new GM.

Another stunning draft by the Spurs. Incredibly effective and sharply focused...really! Who needs overwhelming financial resouces like Portland and NJ on a night like this? Not us! Because we're just that much smarter than teams like that!

i don't think we'll ever see them win that 5th, and if they do, i'll be in the nursing home and they'll be in a different city

Check that. The Suns just had the draft of their dreams.

They can't announce the trade yet because it is pending league approval but Phoenix has acquired Slovenian point guard Goran Dragic in a trade with San Antonio.

This is a 6-foot-4, lefthanded point guard who Phoenix envisions can back up Steve Nash and take over the job in a couple years likely will be a Sun. Phoenix fancied him more than D.J. Augustin or Mario Chalmers and spent the night trying to make a deal to move up in the second round to land him.

By adding Dragic, Phoenix has addressed two of the toughest positions to fill -- center and point guard.

I didnt like the Gist pick.....especially with Will Daniels, Pat Calathes, Marcus Dove, and Keith Brumbaugh still available.

I hope Dove and Brumbaugh will get a shot in our summer league and possibly in training camp.
