I wonder if there is any chance at all of getting Kliff in Austin as our OC.
I am not saying I like him, but he is way better than Beck.
Maybe another option for Texas along with Beaty to help with recruiting DFW.
Former coach at Dallas South Oak Cliff.
Lol no he's a better oc than Beck. You have 0 chance of landing him.
He’s better than Beck but right now Beck isn’t calling plays and has helped Sam improve tremendously this season. Also, he’s out West coast recruiter so we lose all those connections. If you bring in someone like Kliff, you probably reassign Beck to another position like TE cause I’d assume Warehime is more than likely on his way out.
Only reason he is better than Beck is because he isn't our current OC, Texas could add him as the OC tomorrow and by October our fans would be calling him GDKK and calling for his head and probably wondering why we would get rid of Beck after such a great season.
I'm happy with Beck and the job he has done with our QBs and this passing game. All the stuff about play calling is overrated, every OC calls head scratching plays, and Beck is no different.
I'd rather keep Beck and keep our offense for another year.
True offense hasn’t been as much the issue this year as it’s been defense. As Herman has mentioned plenty I think it’s wise to keep the same coaches together and not have the carousel of coaches like Strong year in and year out.
Per 24/7, S Jalen Catalon of Mansfield Legacy will be officially visiting Texas on December 14th.
Seems to me that would be a lateral move for Dana. He would be able to recruit the state of Texas easier. Dana could use this as leverage to redo his contract with WVU though, so there could be some flirting.
There are still a few scenarios out there, but right now it looks like a win gets Texas to the Sugar Bowl and a loss will be the Alamo Bowl.
If OU wins and gets a playoff spot, Texas gets the Sugar if they're still ranked ahead of West Virginia.
What's funny is Ohio State fans will need to root for Texas after all of the drama with Herman.
I think they were 7.5 underdogs for the RRR as well.
Why would he leave WV? Unless he just really wanted back to Texas.
Just a matter of time for that dude to get a big P5 gig.
Hope Ohio St. just loses to N Western.
I really have learned to hate Urban as much as Nick Satin.
His headaches appear much worse after a bad sequence of events, how convenient.
That loss to Purdue should disqualify them.
OrangeBloods saying this is not an interview for Beaty, so take that FWIW.
