Yeah, I liked the potential Clips deal, too. But even a deal with Philly looks better than the deal we got.
I mean derozan is better then both but youre still getting two starters in the philli deal to one with the raps

I think Saric was seen that way when he was drafted, but I am not sure anymore. I still like him and I really wanted to acquire Covington Since last season. Philly also gave up a 2nd round pick. I wonder if we could have gotten a first for Number 2.
I haven’t been too disappointed in DeRozan. Actually I’ve been pleasantly pleased with how good he is as a player. The thing that does suck about him is his 3 point shooting. Defensively he hasn’t been as awful as he was in Toronto(but he hasn’t been good either) and he is a better play maker than what I seen while he was in the east.
The team does look like they are going through the motions some games though. I hope Pop hasn’t lost these guys trust already.
But for me DeRozan has been a good pick up for the team so far
Is DeMar?
I agree with this sentiment 100% I think the team would’ve been fine if they kept Green or got Siakam or OG in the trade. Our wing defense is trash right now and I honestly believe that is the teams biggest issue at this time. Last year the team won games due to defense even when the offense was stagnant as they still won or kept games close due to defense. This team either has to shoot great and not turn the ball over or they will lose. There is no if ands or but’s
You guys have a time machine? Move on and stop crying. You got what you got. We should have held out for ten first round picks...
I can't really disagree with you, but lacking a good 3-ball, DeMar is a very awkward piece, tbh. He has good vision and passing skill for a PG, but his handles aren't quite good enough. He has very good handles for a SG, but not the 3-ball. Same for being a SF, except his defensive deficiencies are even more obvious when he plays SF. He is a ball-dominant tweener who needs guys with other kinda odd skill sets to be optimized. Specifically, imo he needs a PG with great handles and a very good 3-ball who, paradoxically, isn't ball-dominant. Steph ain't available.
weird and confusing merge of many off topic threads that talk about the Kiwi deal, Demar, etc. There's like 3 or 4 pages here that have nothing to do with Aldridge. Kinda reflects the state of the team mess perhaps.![]()
Oh I understand now. I was in the would you have traded Kawhi for Kemba thread and refreshed into Aldridge interested in Spurs.. wow
No. Which is why it was bad trade
DeMar also doesn't have his hair big enough
Definitely not Murray. This is why I don't understand all the PATFO defenders saying "You can't judge the moves made this offseason due to Murray's injury. This team was built around Murray". LOL. Murray would have been a bad fit next to Derozan too. Demar is an extremely difficult player to build around which is why Spurs would have been better off with high quality role players like Covington and Saric who have the flexibility to play in all kinds of lineups and rosters. And if there was a possibility to do Kawhi for Kemba, you make that trade too. Walker is a point guard made for the modern NBA while Demar is a relic of a bygone era. He's Kmart Kobe.
I was right again. I said that trading for aldridge will ruin the spurs. Kawhi got mad at aldridge demanding 1A 1B touches and now hes gone and the spurs are in the lottery.
You could have just said "What, you wanted spare parts?"
Technically, we didn't trade for Aldridge. But you're right. The LMA signing effectively closed the window on the Spurs ever contending for another le. Lamarcus is a born loser. The problems with Kawhi also started when the Spurs told him that he had to wait for his extension so they could have enough room to sign Aldridge.
Quite possibly the best poster to join this site since . . . wait for it . . . me.
As much as I disliked the 76ers package, it was better than the they accepted for that very reason.
Then they could have sold off Aldridge for whatever the they could get (not a lot; probably something like Nurkic signed and traded, Harkless and a 1st), kick started a potentially accelerated re-build and at least had a bevy of desirable, if not marquee, assets. Still, slink down to the bottom for a year or two, hope to draft something resembling a tentpole player and at least have a roadmap to the future.
Comma's bro, I didn't say that at all.
It's $6.7 if waived and $2.3 for 3 seasons if stretched and waived. Spurs should have made that a deal breaker, Masai wasn't going to risk not acquiring the 4th best player in the league for the cost of a minimum salary
It looks even worse now that we know that the Spurs paid the Rap's $5 million in cash on top of moving Green and Kawhi.
Kawhi is a bog lost for us.
He is playing great the Raptors and we won only 4 games from the last 10 games..
To quote Brian Urlacher, even a blind squirrel finds the ocean now and then, but in this case, that's not why Kawhi left.
lff nikka ive been right more often than not. PATFO fluffers are the real blind people here
i will lol if this clown gets another loyalty contract
