Devin Harris and the 12 for Tony? lmao that's ing disgraceful.

If Utah even wanted to make a serious deal it would have to be along the lines of this to even get the Spurs interested.

#4 and their unprotected 1st rounder next year would be worth trading for. Cleveland has made stupider moves in the past.
True. I think we'd have to take salary back. I'd do your scenario along with Jamison (he expires after this coming season).

Somehow I'm guessing they'd want to give us garbage like Varejao and Gibson back though, or maybe Baron Davis and the three years he has left.

Cavs reportedly trying to get Parker now too. I'm guessing they're dangling #4 and some players, that'd free them up to take Williams #1.

I don't see anyone from that squad that would be worth it. Pass.
Given the Cavs huge trade exceptions a lot of scenarios can work.

Parker + RJ (+ Blair?) for Varejao + Gibson (or Session) + #4 pick + trade exception

etc etc. The possibilities are endless.

I'd love to have Biyombo; not at the expense of Parker, but if the team can get him cheaply then yes. However, dude has no offensive game whatsoever. All he could do in the Nike Hoop Summit was score on put backs. If he can't put moves on high-schoolers I don't see him taking Kevin Garnett on the block. Still, what a phenomenal defender this guy will be after a couple of years in the league.
I wouldn't sacrifice Parker for him either - but George Hill? In a New York minute.

CLE taking TP with Baron and Sessions there doesn't make sense. It's not the same as drafting Irving bc of the size of the contracts

He'd still be the best thing next to Duncan since Robinson and could definitely take a huge load offensively. You could actually call "4 down" for someone other then Tim for once. I'd consider it.

Also, Varejao isn't garbage and I believe Baron has 2 years left on his deal

    From Stein:

Draft Buzz: Cavs tryin to get 3rd lottery pick. Offering to take back contract to facilitate. Kings/Pistons are targets
    Interesting.

Could be they are going all youth, or maybe they're trying to get another pick to do a deal with us. Two lotto picks + Varejao + Sessions for Parker and our first or something like that?

CLE has 3 point guards, so any deal with them has to send of them down to SA:
    - Baron has 2 years left, $14m per year (ouch)
    - Session has 2 years too, $4m per
    - Gibson also has 2 years, $4m per

The best would be to get Session back, but I assume any trade involving RJ will have to involve Davis in return.

The numbers for TP+RJ vs Davis+Varejao match almost exactly. CLE has a large trade exception from Lebron, and both teams have small (< $1 milion) trade exceptions. So the Spurs could easily add a scrub for CLE's 4th pick.

Would be fun seeing TP going to CLE and getting another ring before Lebron

Caves are in a great spot. With getting Irving at 1 & then possibly getting the best big in the draft at 4 (Jonas), they prob won't deal.

I like Varejao, but he's more a player you trade for to win now as opposed to rebuilding around.

You must be an aggie if you think that trade makes any sense for Cleveland. 2 lotto picks and varejao? Get real.

Well I'm not as sold on if TP is moved it means no le shot (although I agree that is by far the most likely outcome), so Andy could really help if a few things panout.

Yeah, must be an Aggie because of that. I agree it doesn't make any sense, but Cleveland is a bunch of re s, and we're apparently shopping Parker as part of a package/salary dump for RJ.

Tell me how that makes sense.

Just trying to embrace the Spurs drug induced worldview of the moment, and add in the stupidity of the Cavs as an organization.

    Old news but:

There was talk the Spurs have offered point guard Tony Parker to Sacramento for forward Omri Casspi, swingman Francisco Garcia and the Kings' No. 7 pick. San Antonio would select Lithuanian center Jonas Valanciunas.

Would wonder if they planned on using Garcia to try to solve the 3 spot alongside Casspi, or if he was just a filler.

    Adrian Wojnarowski
Kings have made it privately clear that they expect to trade 7th pick, sources say. "They're confident they have deal," one official says.
