Good ass question!
Does HornsNation know something that we don't or is the commit of Prevot a typo? Hmmmmm...

Good ass question!
Since I have just began following this class, who are the must gets the rest of the way for us? I understand Swoopes and Seals-Jones were big ones, can someone else fill me in on what to expect? How is this class going to look? Sorry, I have been really busy since the '12 class signed!
Kent Perkins is the top guy right now. Then guys like Darius James and some Offensive Linemen and receivers. After the next few commits I think it will slow down for a while.
The espn thing is a typo btw.

I'm glad Warrick committed. I hope he plays WR, he is great in the slot. I liked him more than Samples.

TE Durham Smythe has decided to visit Stanford this weekend.
Open practices:
Friday at 4pm
Saturday at 2pm
Anybody going?? Im planning on going to Saturdays.
I'm thinking about goin Friday. First time, how do they usually work?
Quotes from LB Mike Mitc after JD2:
"I thought it was awesome. The practice was probably the best part. We got to watch them practice their spring training. It was really organized," Mitc said. "I was keeping an eye on their middle linebacker so I could kind of compare myself to him."
"I think I would fit in perfect with their 4-3 scheme and the way they blitz their linebackers is definitely my kind of style," Mitc said.
"We talked to him (Diaz) for a while. I really liked him a lot. He was really nice," Mitc said. "He went over a lot of football with us too. Some coaches don't really talk a lot of football at junior days but he went over a lot of football and how much they're a family program and how he doesn't care how old you are. If you're good enough to play you're good enough to play."
"We were talking about recruiting and they were definitely interested in me," he said. "They wanted to know how interested I was in them. They only have a limited number of scholarships so they're trying to be conservative with their scholarships and don't want to give them out to guys who aren't very interested in them."
"Definitely top 3," Mitc said. "They're like top three or five with Ohio St., Baylor, (Texas) A&M, and Florida would be up there."
We got to figure out a way to keep manny everyone loves that guy.
Done deal. Great news for a Monday.
... and BOOM goes the dynamite!!!!!!!!!

Lake Highland OT Kent Perkins confirms in a text message he has committed to Texas #longhorns
@gkketch: Orangebloods.com has confirmed Lake Highlands offensive lineman Kent Perkins has committed to Texas. #longhorns #hookem
This class is insane. No Chet Mosses or ADLTs either.
Perkins is probably the best pure Left Tackle to come out of Texas in 5 years. Kent is truth. Watch him pass him Estelle or Hughes in a few years. Big time pick up. Now go get James.
Side note, GH believes Texas is very serious about Maurice Porter, so much so that they him ranked ahead of Josh Thomas. Porter should be a priority. Texas must take at least 1 more OT in this class.
Nice to see open practices back! I'll try to make it out Friday after work.
Great news about Perkins as well.
Youve said this before, who was the best pure tackle five years ago?? I mean, who was the best pure tackle before until Perkins?

Demarco Cobbs is out the rest of spring with a neck injury according to Ketch. Tevin Jackson needs to step up, and i suspect he will that dude was a beast in high school.
From UT:
Texas junior LB Demarco Cobbs is being held out of spring drills as the medical staff continues to evaluate an injury condition relating to his neck, Longhorns Head Athletic Trainer for Football Kenny Boyd said on Monday. There is no timetable on his return. Boyd added that sop re WR John Harris also is not participating in spring workouts as he continues to rehabilitate a right foot injury. He is expected to miss at least the first half of spring drills, Boyd said.
Trent Williams is a darn good NFL OT. Jason Smith and J'Marcus Webb also come to mind. Perkins could be more athletic than all of them.
In a related note, I'm really impressed with A'Shawn Robinson's athleticism in basketball. Very impressive reports from Arlington Martin's basketball playoff run.
Damn, this is a crazy good looking class. I've never seen so much quality early on in one of our classes.
