Nono & DPG with the schtick off. No matter who wins, we lose.
Uh oh...Pop just pulled the soft card.He said the Spurs were an "embarrassment" for a good period of the game...
So Pop was just asked if they will bring someone from Austin and he said "probably Cory Joseph." Really? A guard? WTF?!?!
Que? I am simply using stats and facts. I am alarmed by Manu - he really looks like a s of his former self except for very tiny spurts. The bench that used to be the Spurs strength led by Manu is off to a really bad start overall and it's not coincidence that is coincides with Manu struggling with injuries, age and his shot + his assist-to-turnover ratio.
TP is off to, but he's out performing Manu by quite a large margin and is still finding ways to set career highs while he is struggling with his shot (assists).
What Manu did on a borderline AllStar in Jamal Crawford was commendable. I mean, holding a guy that averages 20ppg to just 11pts is exactly what you need to win games like this one.
Tim Duncan was also stellar. It's unfortunate that Tony decided not to join the party and instead hand out the game to CP3. I don't think Manu and Tim have a lot of gas left to step up their games like they did today when a teammate goes down.
It's unfortunate that a 30 year old, in the prime of his career, can't get up to play against a top PG. It's actually pretty alarming. It speaks volumes of who TP is as a leader and a person.
Hopefully it was just the flu.
No worries. Despite the 0-2 deficit to the Clippers in the regular season, I am without a doubt confident that the Spurs could beat these guys in the playoffs without a problem.
Isn't Jamal a terrible defender? How can a guy shoot worse than a guy who sucks as bad as TP? Also, assists to turnover ratio is another key variable with regards to winning. Again Manu had 3 times the turnovers as TP despite have less assists. You can't win like that. When you have the match up against one of the leagues worst defenders in Crawford, you must not settle for jumpers and shoot so poorly. You have to elevate your game and take over - especially when you are handed a double digit lead.
Manu & TP should be thanking Timmy every day for making them Hall of Famers tbh.
While they are competing to see who can suck less this season, TOSB is carrying the squad and putting up prime numbers.
I would like to see anyone dispute the facts I have said. I don't want opinion, I want stats to back up what is being said because I need to see if I am just missing something???
For people that didn't watch the game, Manu guarded Crawford while the Clippers attacked and Barnes guarded Manu when the Spurs were on offense.
But I've yet to hear anybody disputing the clear cut facts I'm throwing out there...
Absolutely. Tim putting up career highs or close is so unreal at his age. , even TP is still managing to elevate parts of his games and put up career highs. Seems like one member of the big 3 is really hurting the team bad since he can't put up near career highs any where.
Can somebody check if the Spurs won any game where Tony Parker got severely outscored?
Matt Barnes is barely an NBA player - was he guarding Manu at all? If he was that is even worse as Manu should have even done better since Barnes is even slower and less athletic than Crawford.
The good news is that Manu toughened up and joined Duncan to try to win this game for the Spurs... was the 2nd leading scorer behind Tim, and made sure he attacked relentlessly and got to the line.
It's actually very weird to see a guy like Tony not even having a free throw. It appears he wasn't aggressive at all.
I didn't see the entire game and my internet is going in and out.
Can someone please answer these questions:
Out of these 3 guys, which one is the best player: CP3, Matt Barnes (is that how you spell it, not sure can't quite remember his name) or Jamal Crawfords? Who had to guard or was guarded by these guys throughout the game?
Who struggled with their shot more today (FG%), TP or Manu?
Who had more assists and was finding teammates better, TP or Manu?
Who had more TO's, TP or Manu?
When the starters were in to start the game, how big was the deficit they faced?
When the bench came in, how big of a lead did they build up?
Thanks in advance, my internet is freaking annoying and I want to see the facts!
I mean tied with Splitter for 3rd most rebounds and just one less than Blair... Manu really put everything he could on the line, unfortunately his french teammate let him down again.
Perhaps he's still out of shape, but it's inexcusable.
Considering how ty the Spurs played they were right there at the end. With no Kawhi or Jax? Not too bad.
I have some of those numbers:
Per minute:
Manu and Tony had about the same amount of assists (~1.8)
Manu had more points (0.53 vs 0.33)
Manu had more rebounds (1.8 vs 0.18)
Manu had slightly more turnovers (0.03 vs 0.1)
Crawford has been averaging more points than CP3 until this game (20 vs 16)
You're welcome, BTW, and make sure you get that cable connection looked up.
November...
BTW, sup DPG... how's the family?
Family is good tbh...the little ones are a handful though.
I bet... is there any other kind?![]()
I actually don't have kids - just sounded like what I should say. Family is good though. GF and I just enjoying life, traveling & experiencing new cities. Fun times.
That's good too.
Wow your alarm bells are ringing about Manu. There's no Jackson off the bench, or on the team for that matter. Neal's just come back and stunk it up tonight. Boris Diaw looks to have lost lost interest already or is this just Boris. Tiago the "yo-yo"Splitter is inconsistent but then again so is his role. Matt was probably the only contributor off the bench tonight to actually help out. That says it all. The guys that Manu gets to play with off the bench should be your main concerns.
At the end of the day Tony gets to start and do his thing with the likes of Tim, Kawai and now Jack. Manu comes off the bench cold, has to do same with a lot less, yet people expect the same. Unfair comparison really.
Ask yourself. How would Tony play coming of the bench.
