your ur plan is nice and all if he stays healthy... If he blows a knee which has a good probability to happen your / his plan go to the toilet. I'm a financial guy so by definition risk adverse so for me resigning asap would be a good choice other alternative I have the brain of a chimp which is also a possibility
If his knee blows up, he still gets the money from his current deal... I think his agent will tell him to wait it out... much bigger commission, tbh...

blowing his knee = good probability?

Damn, I thought Brazil was finished with his estrogen phase after taking a vacation, but it appears that the man is still emotional, tbh..

Current deal that will finish in two years vs maybe possibility to get a new long term contract quickly but I understand logic of wanting maximize, risk / reward situation. Chimp will obviously choose to maximize tho

I don't think he can extend whenever he wants, either. Otherwise, players would extend every year for an updated max salary. I think the window opens up the season before he becomes a RFA, but not sure...

why saying blowing his knee meaning having serious injury issues the way OKC tear him down and the way he relies 90% on his athleticism has a good probability is ? How much time the last monkey ballin PG lasted tbh ?

He would do that if he has the brain of a chimp. Due to the new TV deal, a max contract in two seasons will be substantially higher than any time before. That's why there's a lot of chatter of free agents this summer opting to sign just for one year.
Which is why there's a pretty good chance Duncan and Ginobili return for another more season.

Do you think there is much of a chance that Leonard just takes the 1 year option due to the new TV deal?

It's going to be certainly a topic over the summer... I'm sure he will get the offers... max deal for 5 years, followed by max deal for 1 year... if he takes the 1 year option, then the Spurs will match, and we'll be in that boat.

I don't think with them it's about money. I mean, sure, money doesn't hurt, but there's other factors too, like family, how they feel, etc.

I do suspect they'll be coming back unless some major injury happens. They both looked great this season.

I was piggybacking off your comment about 2016. Ginobili is more of a question mark than Duncan But, I suspect both will return for another season which will allow the Spurs to chase down a big fish in two years when there's a more flexibility and cap space at their disposal. I don't think they'll make many waves this offseason other than signing their own. Who knows though. I've been wrong once or twice before.

I never wished injury to anybody tbh

I enjoy watching Westchimp playing ball as much as I enjoyed watching rose in his prime. Probably a bad translation french English good meant in my post odds are pretty high something happen.

west is enjoying playin all in and put monster stats but he should start thinking about his health because okc and brooks won't do it for him

I do think it's a season to season thing with them. I'm sure the Spurs will want them back after showing they have plenty in the tank, even if they're not outright dominant every night, but it's largely up to them. I too would like them both back, and wait until 2016 for any big move.

Spurs can hide Parker on Kyle Singler, one of the worst players in the NBA, tbh..no excuses, he should dominate, especially since he'll be pumped up to play Russy..

Earlier this week, Allen Iverson joined the Sixers broadcast team during a game and mentioned Russell Westbrook as one of his favorite players to watch in the League today. “I’m the biggest Westbrook fan there is,” AI said.

Wis will score 101 against the Spurs on March the 25th wearing a ref suit but you have to make 101 points even dressed as a ref.
