Never mind your utterly clueless takes about basketball. I would love to see either of you two nancy-boys stand in front of LaMarcus Aldridge and tell him that he doesn't have the balls to play in the NBA.

As for Aldridge "not getting it done"?

Parker Free Throw 2 of 2 Missed
    00:10.9 Aldridge Rebound (Off:2 Def:6)
Thompson Foul: Personal Take (3 PF) (2 FTA) (R Garretson) 00:09.7
    00:09.7 [SAS 98-93] Aldridge Free Throw 1 of 2 (5 PTS)

In January, he's stepped up to 18.2 points per game, and 10.2 rebounds, and he's 13-14 from the FT line. (Don't know if that includes last night.)
    00:09.7 [SAS 99-93] Aldridge Free Throw 2 of 2 (6 PTS)

Oh, and he averages 17.5 PPG on the road vs. 15.5 at home. Seems to me he's played pretty good when the Spurs needed him the most. Some of you don't seem to understand that there are two teams on the floor, and some of them are also pretty good. Last night was one of those times, and the Spurs won as a team.

And that? Even for you, that's ridiculous talk. Exactly 9 games, and he's done?
Well, how many games will you give him to declare that he's done?

How many season of Richard Jefferson did we go through before people saying he was done?

Cherry picking one of the 3 things he did right in the game. Well, he missed 5 open jumpers, had one turn over and had 4 fouls (more than anyone in the team) and he had the worst +/- among all the players. Passed up a post opportunity against a smaller player (i.e. Lebron).

Add to that his ridiculous body language at near the end of the game.

Lovely game for a max player.

West is playing like I expect him to. I have always loved his great midrange jumsphot and his fadeaways along with his a physical play. The spurs haven't had an enforcer type of player like West in a long time.

He's made a really impressive adjustment. Not only is he shooting at a ridiculous percentage, he's also piling up them assists.

His ruggedness is also going to be key come playoff time.

I have not seen that home/road breakdown before. Very interesting. Perhaps he feels less pressure on the road?

Last night, the Spurs were very gritty, and it was a great team win. We did what championship teams do - we found a way to win, even when some of our big guns were misfiring. I hate that (as you noted last night) we seem to be "counter-punchers," but I must agree with that assessment. Last night, our counter-punch after the first quarter resulted in a TKO.

Don't know what went down with the canning of Sjax, but I seriously believe that Spurs could have won that series with Miami if Sjax was with the team.

They had that series won without him.

He has been playing for the most part for the past month.
That he has, and he proved how valuable he can be in a playoff series with that performance.

If they had his talent. The other is the kind of thing that kills teams. The reason this culture works is because there are no exceptions made for it.

Dumbasses Kawhi only had 6 points the previous game, did he lost his balls too???For one ing game you guys have to crucify LMA? Thank goodness you guys are not the GM of the Spurs. Remember TP disappeared in plenty of playoff games especially in 2003 finals where Speedy Claxton the reserved PG played well??? Please idiots it's only one regular season game for Pete's sake.

Spurs should maybe move West into the starting lineup and Aldridge on the 2nd unit. Gives both units more size.

Plenty of posters thought that West was also a bust for the first month or more of the season. Now, most of them have remarked that West has been coming on stronger and stronger - clearly an indication that he is still in the process of adjusting, although making good progress. To state the obvious, some players take longer than others. There is no question in my mind that West has a much higher BBIQ than LMA.

If he doesn't deliver in the next nine games, you can call him a bust. I'll defer my assessment until the playoffs.
I am withholding out judgment on LMA as well. He will prove himself in the postseason and there are some good compe ive teams to test him coming up as well. He has time and good coaching to get his act together.

I think I am starting to understand that Lamarcus is primarily a jumpshooter, and the jumpshot is not always going to be on, and when they play you very physical and you don't get fouls called, it makes it even more difficult to get even a decent (although contested) look. If he could shoot himself through that maybe he got hot at the end, but at what cost. Pop plays the hot hand, he actually went to different guys early and then Tony got scorching for us luckily.

I don't sweat that big nosed . I don't even have a problem with him just want him more aggressive when he has an advantage which he usually does. I mean lets be honest the guy has all the talent in the world but it was oldman TD who tried to kill love every time gy kevin tried to defend him.

West has been great. But, there are some matchups he and Diaw might struggle with, and OKC might be one. It was the first game of the season, so there's a caveat, but they got mauled by OKC just a bit. Might not be best example.

Exactly! Why the is the 40 year old vet the guy responsible for dominating Kevin Love? Why the is a 30year old player who is supposedly in his PRIME unable to dominate?

West should be paired with Duncan and Aldridge with Diaw. Duncan can compensate for West lack of height and Aldridge can get some great assists from Diaw.

Actually I think the pairings analysis shows that Diaw/Duncan and West/Aldridge are the best combos. Boris is, indeed, a great assist man, but do not underestimate West's ability as a passer. He is quite good in his own right.
