I just want to interject that I've been playing FIFA World Cup 2006 on the 360 for the last 3 hours and it kicks major ass.
You should play a game ten times better than that ... it's the Winning Eleven franchise.

I don't understand this disrespect for Japan. They are the Asian champs and made it to the quarterfinals in '02.

Maybe they are a little overrated but Japan is a good squad. I thought Australia's win today was big. They played some great defense.

Anyway, Brazil against Croatia tomorrow. That is "Must See" TV.

Ooh we have a world cup thread. Sick.

Gus Hiddink has been huge for Australian soccer, sure his tactics in the first half were a little.. different, but he came through. I think his coaching and overall motivation of this team has been exceptional.

Man I am so proud of the team, that was so sweeeeeeeeeeeet! I haven't been that excited over a non-basketball sporting event since Australia smashed the US in 4x100 freesytle relay in 2000. Hope ya'll remember

TDMVPDPOY you are the biggest on this forum, kindly off.

ManuMania your not that much better, who hates an entire country over some inbred surely Tasmanian s , who makes an ass of himself on forums all day? (no offense to my southern neighbours :p)

NuGGeTs-FaN your dead on mate, thats the spirit. we don't need to rub it in, that was the greatest moment in Australian soccer history, and the cup just started. I'm going to remember that one!

Now all we gotta do is hope to advance.

See you all in the round of 16!

I'm the ignorant American who believed his Nation's team was going to give everything they had out on the pitch and earn the respect of the rest of the World.

I'm glad the Aussies did so well though, I was cheering them on and went nuts at the end of the match. Maybe they'll be the 2002 US team of this World Cup, or at least advance to the round of 16.

Did you see the diving technicians yesterday. The Czech Republic was at their best. Nedved led them.

Drogba was barely even touched on that slide tackle, yet he seems to have been shot in the back by a shotgun.

That shows how UN-natural the flop was... if you get hit in the legs/ankles, I don't think you would pull both feet up to your ass, tilt your head up in agony, and spread your arms out to the side.

hey usa fans, i wanna know how many tickets was allocated to the usa fans?

cose i think australia only got like 9000 tickets for each game....thats probaly the reason why small group of ppl only, if only they had more tickets.

korean fans with the big red flag....damn lookd like whole stadium was filled with them, wonder how many tickets allocated to korean market.

as far as i know each fed. gets the same number of tickets. Some are for "neutrals". The reason for smaller group of australian fans is probably the same as the one behind smaller group of Euro fans at the previous WC - distance and cost.
