I like Gears, and I'll get it in due time ... Kinda paying off an engagement ring and eye surgery at the moment. I'm interested in Forza2 so that I can mod cars, which you can't do in PGR3.

Also, I don't like Halo1or2 ... maybe I'll get 3, who knows ...

Racing online in the original Forza was one of the reasons I joined Live.

Hopefully they let you "hide" your mods from other racers, so they can't just copy and paste your settings on their cars.

Gears is damn pretty to look at, but there is NO gaming experience like pulling off three perfect headshots in a row, spinning while whipping out a pistol, and shooting the enemy who was trying for a perfect headshot on you from behind.

This is all possible because of the precision a mouse offers and the top-notch gameplay of CS.

It's the spring update - it includes the new blade, auto shut down (though my Elite already had that,) low powered download mode, displaying game on the play game button, new achievement notification (tells you which achievement you unlocked,) Windows Messenger Live is now there (they will be selling the thumb keyboard this summer.)

The new achievement thing is cool. I gotta try that and see that in action.

Haven't tried it yet. The reviews have been mediocre and it looks the same as Spider-Man 2. That game sucked ass. I'm thinking of renting it soon but I'm not expecting anything great.

Anyone play the Halo 3 beta yet? I'm not a big fan of the Halo multiplayer. The story/campaign is what I like about the series.

CS is slow and boring, and rewards camping. gimme quake and strafe jumping anyday.

Slow and boring? I love Gears of War but any game you can kill someone with a chainsaw from 5 feet away as the roll the other way is pretty much under CS. I could play CS for hours, Gears I get tired of after a few matches. Hammer of Dawn is worse than any weapon CS had and campers are in EVER fps, console or pc.

i liked the unrealistic rocket and strafe jumping, but then again, as far as FPS' go, i was weaned on wolfenstein, duke nukem, and quake. i never really cared for the more realistic games outside of SoF2 - that game was less realistic than some of them and i enjoyed it more. plus you could carve up bodies and stuff.

Shadowrun does look nice but I'm still pissed the didn't do it like the old Genesis and SNES games. It was more of a RPG type and this one is an online multiplayer shooter I believe.
