Is it all an act? More likely, Trump really has the mind of a fourth-grader (apologies to those in fourth grade).
Trump’s messages are indeed aimed quite low. The language and content of one of Trump’s debates during the Republican primary season was scientifically analyzed and determined to be at the fourth-grade level. One of his public news conferences was determined to be at the third-grade level.
The vast majority of Americans, approximately 70 percent, possess an intelligence level of only average or below, which is roughly at or below a high-school level.
Only 10 percent of the population is regarded as superior or above. So Trump’s strategy seems apparent: Aim low to capture more people.
But perhaps the conventional wisdom about Trump is wrong.
Perhaps Trump is not in fact exploiting people of low intelligence, but rather a single person of low intelligence: himself. Perhaps Trump is, in fact, one of them. Perhaps Trump possesses a very low level of intelligence himself.

I agree that she was off-balance and couldn't land a knockout punch. However, do you think that stunt by Trump would have convinced any fence-sitters to vote for him? It certainly would have ginned up the true believers, but he came in needing to convince undecideds to break for him more than she did.

Mark Burnett has finally broken his silence about the prospect of releasing un-aired footage of Donald Trump from "The Apprentice."
Turns out, Burnett, creator of "The Apprentice," and MGM, which owns the rights to "The Apprentice" and "Celebrity Apprentice," will not be releasing any footage.
The statement by Burnett and MGM, released to Variety on Monday afternoon, reads: "MGM owns Mark Burnett's production company and 'The Apprentice' is one of its properties. Despite reports to the contrary, Mark Burnett does not have the ability nor the right to release footage or other material from 'The Apprentice.' Various contractual and legal requirements also restrict MGM's ability to release such material. The recent claims that Mark Burnett has threatened anyone with litigation if they were to leak such material are completely and unequivocally false. To be clear, as previously reported in the press, which Mark Burnett has confirmed, he has consistently supported Democratic campaigns."
