Georgia’s drastically better than Texas but this will be a consolation game for them missing out on the playoffs. And Fromm is mobile when he has to be but they have really good RBs too. If Georgia is motivated, they will win by double digits. Texas is on par with teams like Kentucky, Missouri, and Florida and Georgia won those games easily.
Texas is the only Big 12 team that has the defense to go toe to toe with the Georgia offensive line. Texas dlinemen are much more like SEC big guys. Texas also has the speed to go toe to toe with the Georgia running backs and receivers. As I said, the Texas defense has faced two or three offenses that are better than Georgia's.

On the other side, outside of Bama, Texas will be the best offense the Bulldog's have faced all year. I have no fantasy that Texas can run on them with any consistency, but I'm pretty sure Texas will pass on them pretty well. 6'5 and 6'6 receivers are a matchup problem for any defense, college or pro.

I now am thinking that Texas doesn't lose any of their juniors. I was sure we lose CJ and LJH, now I think we will bring all our juniors back minus a few guys who transfer out or call it quits. I expect about 5 to 7 of them.

If this is the case, then I think Texas starts the season off ranked in the top 10 somewhere between 4 and 7. I'll have a better idea on this once I see our line in the spring. Texas loses 3 of 5 starters, I want to see how they reload. Defense will be much more interesting, replacing our dline and 2 starting linebackers. I'm really happy to be getting Roach back as well as McCullouch at linebacker. On defense Texas is still a year away from having the depth they need to really dominate the conference and become a national le fixture. This year has proven to me that Herman knows what he is doing and his system is working.
I wish I was that confident. LJH would be nuts to play another year for free and risk a career ending injury.

You’re overrating Texas’s offense. Missouri’s offense is much better than Texas who put up numbers against Big 12 defenses. Drew Lock is a potential top 10 draft pick QB. Texas’s offensive efficiency is in the low 20s/high 30s when you factor is strength of opponent.

Kentucky’s defense is one of the best in the country and Georgia ran all over them. Florida has as much athletes as Texas and Georgia dominated them. Georgia has elite talent everywhere and they dominated teams on par with Texas. If they’re motivated, they’ll win by double digits. West Virginia would be a tougher matchup with their offense and QB who’s a legit NFL prospect.

Heard all this before with Missouri coming in with the five-game winning streak from the SEC.

We pounded them with a .500 team

I do think Georgia has better talent and that’s not really close but match up wise I like it.
It all starts a QB. We are so much better against QBs that don’t represent a threat to run.

Texas has every bit the athletes that Georgia has. Our Dbs and Wrs are on par with anything Georgia has. Texas linebackers are faster than Georgia linebackers. Our dline is a weak link, but our back 7 is SEC good. The only passing team Georgia has faced is Bama. The Texas passing game is better than any passing game in the SEC outside of Bama.

Ehlinger is only a sophmore, but he finished the season with over 40 Tds and only 5 picks. The biggest advantage the Bulldogs have is their front 7 on defense, but Texas runs a offense that can pass on this defense, and will their no huddle offense is going to drive Georgia nuts.

On the other side, Texas will hold the Georgia offense under 30 pts, they are a strong running team, but Texas is much better against the run when facing a offense where the QB doesn't run. I've watched several Georgia games and I' not impressed with their passing game. Compared to Big 12 offenses it's like high school. Very simple. Georgia has great athletes at Wr, but Texas has very good Dbs. I think Texas will be more up to the task of defending a Georgia passing game than the Oklahoma passing game.

We are going to find out much more on Jan 1.

I want Texas to play Georgia because it will at least be an exciting match up but they are probably going to get beat soundly... i'm holding out hope though for a Texas win.

I really like this matchup! Texas has problems with discipline vs running QB's. Georgia's QB is not a runner, but they might throw some wrinkles at us with Justin Fields. Orlando is excellent at confusing QB's who aren't mobile because of the constant movement and pressures. Texas faces complex offenses with great skill players on a weekly basis. Based on Georgia formations we will probably go with 4 down linemen. Texas has a month to gameplan.

I "think" it has to be a stand alone shhhh. There was a couple other emojis involved in that specific tweet.
