No shame, as mine shined all week (especialy Roberts, Howard, Young, Broxton, Dempster and Feldman).

Feels good to go undefeated vs. last year's champ though.
Whottt, you next on the list brother.

Yours shined all week but had to wait for mine to crap the bed ... There is plenty of shame in that, on both our sides ... But, if I can't make the playoffs, I would rather Whottt kick your ass. No offense, but gotta go with my fellow Rangers fan ... so no matter what, I am rooting for whottt, that would be two Rangers fans in a row ...

Hahahaha I beat whott again even though he tried my old tricks, he still loses
Regular season victories are hollow. I'll give you props if you beat whottt in the playoffs. Four straight over the best team in the league would be some feat but I don't think it's gonna happen.

Looks like the Playoff teams are pretty much set unless there are some major last min collapses by either Slayer, Alamo, and Myself. im surprised Yahoo hasn't clinched the Screwballs yet. Just a quick question to the playoff teams. Are we going to do this the "right" way or are we going to do the add and drop pitcher war? I say lets duke it out with what we have of course not including injury or normal adds and drops. I just dont want to have to go overboard on the adds and drops. Also are the last 2 weeks the finals again?

While he's technically beaten me three times, this is the only time I was actively trying to beat him. The first time I wasn't trying to beat anyone because I knew my team was going to suck the first month of the season, the second time I could have beaten or at least tied him just by starting some additional pitchers, like one or two.

This time I wanted to crush him 10-0 but my team pretty much sucked in every category except HR. I can live with it because I had 5 guys on the DL including two guys that were supposed to come off of it but didn't.

In any case, I don't really think my team is the best team in the league...it's just had timely good fortune and I've had to work to produce that record.

Except for this last week, your team has been rolling all summer. And it looks like you get Justin Upton back very soon. An 11 game lead in a 10 team league is pretty impressive.

As I understood, there will be a limit on roster moves during the playoffs.

Ya IIRC we decided there is a limit of 5 roster moves per week during the playoffs.

    excuses excuses.

I was beating you from a hotel room, and didn't evne pay attention to it until sometime around Saturday when I noticed you were trying my old tricks. Funny thing was that you picked over all the pitchers, and I took leftovers and still beat you. I just knew I needed stolen bases and it was over. So good job by me on going out there and beating a team I was expected to beat

After draft Free Agent Pickup of the season Award goes to

ATRAIN for picking up Aaron Hill and him getting his 20th homer yesterday. Thanks AH!!

Possibly the best 2nd baseman this year.

the funny thing about that is that I was trying to add either him or Freddy Sanchez one day and was having trouble with it, I PMed FWDT to see if I could get some help, and my exact wording was "I don't give a who it is, Sanchez or Hill, I just want a warm body at 2nd base"

little did I know, that changed the fate of my whole season.

Yeah well I wasnt too happy with my 2nd baseman and I knew hill was good but injured last year. Picking him and Lind up was prob the best moves I made all year. Lind was dropped and Lopez was dropped and they have produced pretty well for me. You just cant lose faith in some of these guys so soon. Lind tore up and Lopez has been pretty good as of late. Oh yeah and now Q has been hitting good so that trade isnt looking too bad. My trade with you too has helped me dom pitching stats against other teams I have played.

I'm gonna have to disagree with that...

Mark Reynolds has 40 HR, 21 SB, 90RBI and is eligible at the 2 corner positions.

Ben Zobrist is eligible at the 2 MI positions, OF, has 23HR, 15 SB and a 400+ OBP%.

Both picked up off the waiver wire.

The pickups you had that impressed me the most were your pitching. I remember looking at your pitching after the draft and thinking it completely sucked, then you hit the waiver wire and pretty much hit the jackpot on your pitching pickups.

If you mean like immediately after the draft I guess Hill would be the best pickup.

Alamo, kick Dan's ass, because him and I are tied and if someone is going to overtake Tranny for his spot, it's gonna be me!

Man, the fact that Atrain and I face off next week could have serious implications. And I thought watching the Rangers lately was bad for my ticker!

LOL Id rather lose my spot to mel hahaha so yeah this last spot can be decided on my ultimate collapse. If I can whoop up on TIMVP then I should be safe but man its going to be rough. Good Luck Mel and Dan.
