They'll get a rebound in March...no need to get them in December...esp. Dec. 5
I bet thats what they're saying in new jersey!

However, I am starting to think that we should explore trading Manu. He can't penetrate any more.
Manu still had more points that RJ and he is nowhere near his best form physically. If you want to trade someone look at RJ first, actually look at Matt Bonner first then RJ.

I am sure he is either not in shape or taking less chances by not penetrating as much.

now spurs fans can melt down in style. i'll start by suggesting the spurs trade parker. spurs need a pass first point guard to juggle all the new offensive threats.
Sarcasm aside, I think it's quite clear the Spurs have no floor general out there.

All this chemistry talk is BS

What we need is TP and Manu play good basketball and not this they've been playing so far the whole year
Playing good ball = playing with chemistry. It is a team game. It's all about synchronicity. Right now, a lot of the time, players are 1/2 a second late or 3m off their spot, and that's leading to TOs and missed rotations. That is chemistry.

BTW, Tony just owned that 4th Q. He was the only reason we were in the game.

Manu is a real concern though. His explosiveness is sorely missing.

Manu is simply not in game shape. Last season was the same . It took him like 10-15 games to finally get in shape. I'm not really worried about him. I'm wondering though why Finley got more run that Mason.

Well I think it's still too early to ring the alarm and to get trades ideas about Manu! He's recovering from an injury that forced him to miss 5 games for 10 at the end of november. Manu is obviously not in game shape and the injury didn't help. He still can provide some magic as in the Raptors game.

I thought that RJ had an overall OK game.

TP made some basket but had a key TO and horrible D on Lawson.

He's not playing anywhere near last season.

haha ya I was being sarcastic. Beating on scrub teams will do nothing for us in the playoffs.

Defense was actually good in general... I mean, we made enough stops to win this game. The turnovers and poor execution, especially in the clutch are puzzling.
Maybe Pop needs to take the reins back and start calling the offense from the sidelines again.
Agree with regarding the poor execution. What's with the carelessness of the ball? Coaching was to be a big part of this. It's like false starts/ illegal formation in football. This crap has to be clear up in practice.

but is there a reporter with the balls to ask this question to Pop?

The lack of execution on offense and the lack of cohesion to get defensive rebounds were exposed in this game. Even though it as a tough loss, it's still early in the season and these kinds of bad plays are expected!

Actually, I like Bonner off the bench. He's generally doing fine off the bench. Just don't ever start him!

As for Manu, I think his legs are gone. At some point in a guy's career he loses his explosiveness, and Manu looks to have finally lost it. I'm happy to see how he looks in 5-10games and see if he gets it back, but he hasn't had the ability to get by his man at all this season.

If we could trade RJ for Jax I'd do it in a second.

Key TO? The one to Billups in the last seconds? The game was already over, and it wasn't his fault - no-one helped and he was being trapped.

In generally he's not been very good, I agree, but he penetrated at will in the 1st and 4th today which tells me he's on the right track. And when he regains his jumper, watch out.

TP is missing his jumper to be as good as last season but i think he's getting there and he had a pretty good game tonight with all the layups and FTs.
Tony was the leader scorer tonight with 27 points and he combined with Duncan more than half of the team points (53 pts of 99 pts).

Lawson is devil quick, I'm not sure it was a real lack of defense from TP and you can see that it got on TP's nerves as he was aggressive and hit a tough J on Lawson.

He did penetrate really well in the 4th, but he was also trading baskets with lawson. His defense was pretty bad....

Bowen has nothing to do with unforced turnovers, out of sync offense and not being able to get a crucial ing rebound (this alone should make anyone's blood boil)

Where were you all when I was pushed for Jax weeks ago before he got traded to the Bobcats?????? Now everyone will take Jax back. I was told I was an idiot . The great Eric B with his great insight.

Anyway let's give Manu some time like you said. You don't have to explore trading him right now.

If we do consider trading Manu how about we force the other team to take RJ? We could just say hey if you want Manu you gotta take RJ too.

I wonder if the Bobcats would do a Manu and RJ for Wallace and Jackson trade? Hopefully they keep losing up until the trade deadline .

I don't think Manu has lost it though. Give him some time.
