Disagree, unless there is some nagging soreness that needs further caution, Kawhi minutes has been quite monitored & limited. He is in the peak of his body fitness & health, a real legitimate MVP aspirant, and that Utah core still has Rodney Hood for some wing defense attention, i think he should play for everyone best interest.
Yea I agree, and of course want him to play. It just wouldn't surprise me if that's a game Pop chooses to give him the night off.

Might be an ugly win--but how cool is it that we win on the road after 4 games in 6 nights with two starters not playing. Showing signs of depth and skills all around.

Great post. This is a character win.

Murray is looking like a young rookie. And face it, Forbes isn't likely to see much court time unless he gets sent to Austin. But everybody else on the roster is looking like a contributor.

Tom Orsborn: Gregg Popovich said on top of this being the second game in a back-to-back set, he’s sitting Aldridge because he has a “bit of knee soreness.”
Thanks for sharing that tidbit. Eases up some of the concerns with him taking it so easy on LMA. He mentioned sitting Tony last night bc of something too. Pop is not taking chances with guys who may get possibly injured. I hope the knee soreness is not a lingering issue. Those things are a nag.

Tom Orsborn: Gregg Popovich on Jonathon Simmons: “He’s letting the game come to him. He’s more consistent. There will be ups & downs, but I’m really happy for him because he has shown that he will have an NBA career.”
That is high praise from Pop. (I remember Pop being happy for Boban's contract, so Simmons showing this improvement means he's now tutored and coached yet another player to a good career (whether here or somewhere else after this season, he's an NBA player), as a coach, with Simmons' background that is a nice achievement and something to celebrate. I leave the wild speculation for next offseason out there. All 3 of Dedmon, Simmons and Mills will get raises...

I wasn't able to watch the game live (just finished watching it now), but just wanted to talk about the last play of Kawhi's. Should he have dunked it? That's pretty much a certain 2, possible And1 Vs two free throws. What do you guys think was the correct play?

RC has done an amazing job these past two seasons. We lost Belinilli, Baynes, Splitter, and Joseph to get LMA. RC rebuilds the bench. We lose Boban, West, Boris, Bonner from our 67 win team, RC gets Pau, Lee, Dedmon and 4 rookies to take up the slack. And Pop puts them all in place so they're contributing (sans Murray as you say) by the beginning of the season.

For whatever occasional mistakes PATFO make, they're still the best in the league easily.

He told himself,"man, I missed 2 free throws today. I'm gonna take the foul so I can get some practice shots."
