ok so my friends are not the best basketball players right. so we play these guys that are taller than us and are good too. Well the guy I was guarding plays in the NBDL but not all that. My teammates all of the sudden freeze up and can't switch and can't guard their man. We lose 2 of 3 and I'm the only one trying. I guess I expect too much from them .......

I told them to switch and watch the cutters. I think maybe I need to pass them out a basketball dictionary. maybe I'm expecting them to handle themselves but they are not ready. One play I got the old back pick and my man gets open for an easy lob and dunk. When I turned arounded not only did I see the guy on the other team pick me my teammates was also standing there picking me.

A lot of good players never grasp the fundementals. I hate people who don't call otu screens adn don't switch. I hate people who set screens and never move.
The problem is I'm a fat slow mexican who can't play ball very well, so no one ever listens to me.
If you do the little things I'd put you on my team. I always pick up that dude who can set picks and bump my man on a pick or block out. I play defense. People usually get pissed off when you try to do that.

The new rec center in New Braunfels but if they could get a regular GTG in SA I'd be willing to drive
i used to play a lot up at the warhawk on lackland ... i USED to be one of the best shooters in the place but when you don't play for so long it takes a bit of time to get your stroke and your rythem back.

not like that but I hear you. we had a little GTG at Joe Ward in SA a few months ago but nothing since. The good thing about shooting is that if you good it doesn't take long to get your stroke back but the thing you have to worry about is your legs

it would probably take me about 2 hours of shooting to get everything back in order. i hated the gyms on base because you would never get team bball. you'd get "i'm gonna dribble for 20 seconds and then pull up or drive and lose the ball". the only time i'd ever touch the ball is if i took it up court myself or happened to be the guy to scoop up the lost ball.
Yeah man,thats why when you play the teams of old men that have played together forever they kick everyones ass.
I love the little things that people notice. Its always awesome when the biggest guy on the other team tells you "nice boxout". That makes my day.
Yeah, its really hard to find a game now where its not the And 1 bull . I need to call up my old roomate to see if we can paly in the gym at Trinty. THats something we usually do on summer nights.
