Does anyone know if trash pickup is still happening? I would think not, but I haven't heard anything on the news and there are a couple of houses on my street that have their trash at the curb.
I guess there is at least some consolation that all we have are 2 little saplings in the front yard still tied to stakes. Although those little things look pretty stressed, too.
It's pretty white on the ground over here this morning ... but it's just sleet.
And some seriously wicked looking icicles.

Yeah ... I was just sitting here trying to figure out how to get it out there. The grass is even a solid chunk of ice. I wonder if my softball cleats would help?

They picked mine up yesterday.
They picked up mine yesterday even though it was sleeting and freezing rain. The garbage must get picked up even through ice....sleet.....snow!

well today is even more ing frozen then it was yesterday .... and my ign car is sittign over in he Academy parking lot because it cut out on emo on the way to work yesterday, he got a ride, and he didn;t want ot "mess with it" this morning on his way home.
damn it! I already *know* it;s the damn alternator and if he had checked any of the 8 friggin messages I left for him he wouls know that and coulda got it jumped and had his ride follow him home.
now i gotta figure out a way to go get my friggin car before it gets towed.
hopefully this ice is keeping the tow trucks art bay.

I was being all ghetto and just covering the plants I REALLY cared about with trash bags. However, I think it was a lost cause and they are probably toast also.

So all I know is, the power came back on in my area around 8:45-9 a.m., but I slept until 10:45 anyway.
What's the word on today and tonight's weather, because as much as I like you guys, I don't want to be cooped up in here much longer (I might go to a movie or something).
