I want to see how the SPurs play tomorrow then I will gauge the team..I'm not going to say anything considering we were missing our best defender out there.

I'm not blaming him. Just getting a head start on what all the Finley haters will say and predicting we'll have new threads dedicated to him for that purpose.
    Gotcha.

    Welcome to Spurs talk.

We're about four losses away from dropping into the lottery.
I will say that dropping to sixth in the west, picking 22, and getting the suns in the 1st round would put a BIG smile on my face. 1) We can take the Suns, I am confident, even if they have HCA 2) That would likely get us Tyler Smith. ME LIKEY. That would be the equivalent of dumping Old Finley, and getting YOUNG FINLEY in exchange. That would be NICE...

Hopefully both our squads make it to be the big show once again!
Don't get your hopes up. Spurs won't make it past the second round this year, I'm afraid to say.

I'd almost rather have just lost because i got my hopes up. At least we fought back. I'm ing sick and tired of Tim not getting respect at all. I ing hate David Stern and his inconsistent officiating system that favors 6 foot 4 guards who barely get touched rather than hall of fame 7 footers that constantly get hacked.
Amen to that. Unfortunately, it's all about "selling product" not the integrity of the game.

did finley made all of his shots in the 1Q? why these Finley hate? Or you want Vaughn instead who can defend but can't score?

WHOA. Did you watch the same game tonight as the rest of us?!

Finley and Horry did as good as anyone could have hoped today. If we looking to point a finger at someone for todays loss, it be poor rebounding, Damon, Oberto and MANU.

And im ok with everyone of the above personally, cept Damon- he really needs to get misplaced when Barry comes back.

Spurs CAN AND WILL PLAY BETTER. Something will wake them up and they're going be ing ANGRY AS they let these games go. It's not over, Spurs are NOT DONE by any means. When they awaken they're going to be a fire breathing DRAGON in the playoffs.

Not a bad game. The Spurs having to play zone all game is a testament to what Bruce does for this team. They got destroyed on the glass but still managed to be right there at the end. I don't think anyone is hanging their heads about this loss. They showed that they can compete and grind their way back into games. This loss isn't that big of a deal.

    Thank you agreed.

When you have to play zone, due to Udoka AND bowen not playing, your gonna give up boards.

Horry playing well tonight was a good sign

    Yeah I did.

    3-6.

missed 3 shots in the second half.

So thats the reason they lost?

    Genius keep it up.
Dude shut the up already with your arrogant comments. You apparently didn't even watch the game. The reason we were up the first half and even in the game was Tony Parker. Finley hit a couple of good shots but so did every other person on this team. Parker was the one who was there from start to finish.

I don't blame Pop for playing finley today since Ime, and Bruce were out..he had no other choice and Finley did only take 6 shots. Unfortunately it's Finley's defense that is horrible, but what I can expect from a 36 year old player.

But Pop was stupid for not bringing in Bonner earlier in the game!

Yeah those three can pretty much take the blame.

Thomas should get all of Oberto's minutes right now.

Damon is just playing how Pop wants him to, as a gunner.

He was much better when he was getting shots within the offense and dishing and creating.

Damon Stoudamire's struggles are all on Pop.

T Park, do you even read what the you write? You literally wrote out the words and I quote:

Finley is the only reason the Spurs had the lead at the half.
Finley was a complete non-factor in this game. Yea it was nice he finally hit some shots. His defense was still crap and he still hasn't learned to box out or grab a rebound. In no way, shape, or form can you even argue that Finley was the reason the Spurs had the lead at the half.

Finley is never gonna be known as a defensive stalwart.

Hes at his best when Bowen, Duncan, and Thomas are playing behind himm and hes guarding the other team's bench players.

Thats the way it is. People wanting him to start shutting guys down on defense are smoking crack.
