On five-star RB Trey Sanders of IMG Academy from a national recruiting analyst at 24/7...
"I spoke to someone I trust around 5-star IMG Academy RB Trey Sanders yesterday and learned that Texas is much more strongly in play than perhaps people realize. In fact, I'm told they could even be leading. He's close to the vest on his recruitment so anything on him is likely going to come from backchannels but I think he's a guy to start keeping a close eye on. I'm not ready to make a Crystal Ball prediction yet because he hasn't visited Texas. But if/when that comes, I'll be watching that visit really closely. Stan Drayton has done a really good job here."

LB Maninoa Tufono of Honolulu, HI told 24/7 recently that he is planning a visit to UT.
No timetable was given.

After seeing what this staff has done, there isn't a single recruit out there that would surprise me if he committed to Texas. I'm loving this.
I don't know if I'm answering your question, but their imprint on the recruiting industry has evolved.
They started out covering OU only and decided it would benefit them to expand into the Texas market.
Since that happened, they've decided to add video and recruits love their creativity, so they're now taking on lots of commitment video projects which gives them a leg up on information.
I'm sure they had plenty of coaching connections before that.
Quotes from the father of OL Kenyon Green (The Football Brainiacs).
They are looking to return to UT for the spring game in April.
“One word to describe the visit”, Henry raved, “explosive…it was explosive”. He continued, “the facilities were A1, the coaches were great. You know, I always liked Tom Herman when he was at Houston and seeing what he did there. And now you see what he’s building with these recruiting classes. He’s building something at Texas”.
“It was very much different [than previous visits]. When I say they rolled out the red carpet, they rolled out the red carpet”, Henry exclaimed.
“Texas is very much in the running. Kenyon is going to enjoy his recruitment. We’re fine taking our time with it but ultimately it’s up to him when he’s ready to pull the trigger.”
Update on OL Tyler Johnson of Conroe Oak Ridge (24/7):
“The visit was great,” Johnson said. “It gave me a good impression of the feel of the campus. The new weight room and facilities were sick and so were the coaches and players.”
“Coach Hand and I clicked instantly,” Johnson said. “He shows that he has lots of experience in coaching.”
“Texas stands high on my list,” Johnson said. “Man, Texas is stacking them up and making plays with the 2019 recruiting class.”
Sounds like he is visiting us in late April. Dude is from Georgia, no way he ends up at Texas.
The Football Brainiacs are reporting RB Noah Cain will be in Austin for the spring game in April.
That's potentially a massive recruiting event for UT.
You answered it.
The interest is there. I read it, but I'm much more interested in our actual games. It's entertaining to see where these kids end up. I just hope after these kids finish they have taken advantage of the school side of their scholarship and leave healthy.
Thanks for your efforts.
Are we still in the driver seat with him? Did he end up moving back to Texas and how does it work out with us doing well with the other IMG back mentioned above?
My guess is the first guy that commits is the winner.
Tells me he's not really 5 material after all
24/7 said last night it's still an LSU/Texas battle for Cain, and Holland asked about Sanders as well but couldn't confirm anything written yesterday.
He doesn't think there's anything to see there until he visits UT.
Cain didn't move back to Denton and is still at IMG.
