He wasn't very good on offense at all (he had zero explosion in his legs, I think he's pretty hurt) but this might have been the best defensive game of Ginobili's career. Steals, deflections, charges drawn, jump balls forced, shut down whoever he was guarding the second half... Manu was pretty solid overall.

And of course, Tim was a monster.

Thank god we pulled this one out, fatigue was huge here. We're gonna be a lot more fluid on offense in game 2 I think.

Despite having Game 1 all but gift-wrapped for the Mavs, the Spurs pull it out. Mavs couldn't seem to unclench at the end.

Both teams played outstanding defense. I'm still kind of pleasantly surprised we won, considering we didn't execute at our best level.
