Things didn't get ghetto in San Francisco, they got trendy. Which is even worse. You'd find a tiny little spot that no one knew about with relatively cheap drinks (for SF, anyway) and a good swing band and then two weeks later there would be a line down the street.

This bar I used to go to called Whiskey's became trendy. It used to be a hole-in-the-wall where you would go and it would never be crowded, now there are all kinds of trendy assholes and a doorman to boot. Plus, the price of the Texas Teas went up. ers!
