    The rebounds are explained easily.

2 best win defenders out, forced to play zone, you play zone you give up rebounds.

    That simple.
    Disagree to a large extent.

The Zone surely didn't help you all rebounding, but it's not like balls just fell into our laps. I saw the Spurs being out hustled in the rebounding dept. It was more about desire and energy than the Zone D IMO.

He's definitely hurting. I wish he could get some days off.
Yeah, his jumper is way off and he hardly drove tonight. That thigh contusion is slowing him down a lot.

People forget how often these guys play injured, and of course it affects their performance.

Outside of the rebounding, I'm proud of what Spurs have done tonight.
Spurs were only playing with 2 wing and Manu is tired/injured but the team put a very good fight and show some life.

Anyone else shocked that Kurt Thomas didn't seem to have much impact in this game?
Maybe cause he hardly played in the second half?

He went out at the 4:45 mark of the third and never came back in.

Uh, where did I say Parker wasn't?

    Finley played good tonight.

Im sorry that he didn't drop 35 and 12 for you.
You said he was the only reason the Spurs were in the game. That's not true. And when anyone tells you that you get into arrogant ass mode and act like they are stupid. You obviously did not watch the game.

You can disagree all you want but its true.

Zone D = long rebounds = offensive rebounds.

Stop blaming Finley for his defense; Finley has never, ever been a good defender!!!! Blame Pop for playing Finley when he could have put Bonner, or Thomas; or even Vaughn!

It's probably more than the thigh. He's just really fatigued. If the West wasn't so tight, he could have a day off.

Six Free throws in an entire game with Ginobili, Parker, and Duncan on the floor. How can that happen?

Would someone please look up the FT attempts per game this year for the Spurs (or even our big three) versus last year. There is no way SIX free throws IN AN ENTIRE GAME should happen. This is the revenge of Joey Crawford.

Please do not tell me the Spurs are the beneficiaries of special treatment from the officials right now. Not this year. I've seen Duncan get hacked time and time and time again at the basket and no whistle all year long. I think Tim has almost resigned himself to the fact he is being treated like a rookie punk instead of a Hall of Fame player.

good lord.....and spurs fans say that only mav fans about officiating.

sound like a bunch of pussies right now, get yourselves together.
The only talk there was about officiating was in the heat of the moment and in a span of 2 whole minutes....

I'm amazed at how few whistles Duncan gets these days. Not just tonight ... but tonight was a pretty decent example. 18 field goal attempts before his first free throw? Ridiculous considering all the contact down low. This seems to be becoming more and more of an issue .....

Not a bad game. The Spurs having to play zone all game is a testament to what Bruce does for this team. They got destroyed on the glass but still managed to be right there at the end. I don't think anyone is hanging their heads about this loss. They showed that they can compete and grind their way back into games. This loss isn't that big of a deal.
I hate "nice loss" posts when the Spurs are in a losing streak.

His legs are definitely affected. Before he got hurt those shots go in, easy...

He should take a game off for "injury" or whatever on the Boston game. get 4 days of rest.

Although I think we dropped to 4th seed or somethng now.

I've been saying it for a while now. It's getting to be downright scary just how much contact the refs are letting opposing teams get away with when defending Duncan. In fact, it's becoming more and more blatant that the refs for some reason or another are just letting the calls go.

Uh, are you saying he had much of a impact in the minutes he played?

I would have thought that Kurt Thomas would be just what the doctor ordered for a game like this. Instead, he did a little more than Elson would have.
