WTF? We can go on a 10-0 run in 90 seconds and Pop chooses to "make a statement"? This is ridiculous
The chances of the Spurs going going on a miracle run aren't much worse with the bench, especially the way most of the starters have played tonight.

They beat us once a year. I live in CT so I catch the spurs at the garden or izod in new jersey and the last time i went to the garden nate robinson hung 30 pts on us.
I remember Eddy Curry going off on us too a while back.

Some of you are very naive. Pop is making a strategic decision. Why waste more of your starters' energy on a game you won't win? Good decision.
But they played an extreme uptempo game already, what the is the point, really??!?? Ginobili is gassed and so are others too. Hopefully the Boston game will be a fight, despite this mother of a game.

Frustrating loss. Two days rest and team comes out completely unfocused. Looks like they sipped too much of their koolaid. Hopefully this kicks them in the pants.

    Luckily Boston has no KG.

Won't win many games with Tim and Manu playing this way. Lets hope it is not a trend, but Manu has been struggling lately.
Boston is a totally different team. They have nowhere near the athleticism at the 2/3/4 that the Knicks have. We will be much more comfortable playing them.

The Knicks are our matchup nightmare - long and athletic at every position.

Its not about energy at all. Pop is pissed and is sending a message. This is not about energy, its about soft defense.

of course D'Antoni plays his starters into the ground.
When you aren't being defended and you don't have to defend, they aren't hard minutes.

Eh, its not their job to know if the Spurs are playing tomorrow. For them to raise the question whether or not the Spurs are playing tomorrow is a smart one.
yeah tv crews are NEVER supplied with stats, roster info, and scheduling info

If we play this D tomorrow, we are getting our first back2back loss.
Spurs will beat the celtics tomorrow. Book it.

Does coming off of two days rest and having the team listless from the start fall on the coach at all?

The last 3 minutes of the game could go 15-20 if we tried to fight it out, so there certainly is a point.

Thanks sooooo much RJ for those comments about the Knicks. You can bet the sports writers will bring that up tomorrow. I just can't believe the Spurs could play such lock-down defense on OKC, and then play absolutely NO defense tonight.

Man, it's just depressing. I've been expecting a garbage game from them for awhile, but this is cringeworthy. I'm not sure what they are doing out there.
It's not really surprising. Like timvp said a while back, Spurs look REALLY bad when they lose which is what separate them from teams like Miami/Boston/Dallas/Lakers who lose respectively(not saying those teams are better than SA...they just lose in a compe ive fashion). Look here:

    http://www.hoopsstats.com/basketball...1/diffeff/22-1

Spurs eff differential is 24th in the league in losses.
