Hmm they had a Bulls player interview after the first half. No Spurs interview after the second half?
Also:at "Spurs sweeping the season series against San Antonio." Thanks ESPN, we know you hate the Spurs.
so he hates them for that? wtf?
Splitter and Duncan with double doubles.
Maybe because TP was going raw in his sister in law, tbh..
Besides that second quarter, great games Spurs. Good win.![]()
Manu drove to the basket as well as he has all season tonight. A+ for Manu![]()
Haven't seen Manu drive to the basket in the last two years as much as he did this game. He must be feeling close to 100%.
Good win. They overcame a real flat start, felt like a loss was coming for most of the game.
Basically, the game was really ugly at the end of the 1st quarter and the whole 2nd quarter because of the Bonner/Blair/Patty lineup. Pop doesn't play Bonner/Blair until garbage time and the Spurs play great. Patty redeemed himself in the 2nd half so negates his first half. Kawhi had some nice highlight dunks. Manu/Duncan had a vintage performance. Jack looks much better tonight.
Great win. I thought they took their foot off the gas pedal after they started dismantling them in the beginning. Mr. Duncan has done that before. They Noah started talking smack, got in our face, and we turned up the heat. I love this team. Fricking Lakers came back from 25 down, Utah choked and Houston lost against the Maverettes, so the Lakers move closer to the 8th seed. %$#@%#$
Utah and Houston are both a bunch of choking gots.
it, I'm glad. Give us the Lakers so we can in their cereal.
I think it takes away from the comedy of the Lakers going to the lottery without a lottery pick.
But to be honest I'd get over it if it meant the Spurs could humiliate the Lakers in the first round. Dwight Howard really doesn't scare me.
I think the Lakers will end up 7 unless they tank to get us at 8. No way in Utah holds on.
Utah is a ty team with a difficult March schedule, tbh..I'd be surprised if they aren't out of the picture by the end of the month..
The Lakers are going to make the playoffs, it's a virtual lock..their compe ion for the final seeds is a couple of inconsistent teams that are finding inconceivable ways to lose games..
Solid win, guys! Once they stopped turning the ball over, it was all Spurs.
Too bad the Hairnets let the Fakers escape with a win. Oh, well...I hope we sweep BOTH LA teams in the playoffs!
GO SPURS GO!!!!!
Utah is just comically bad. I watched their end of game choke job the other night as well. They'll make a big shot to go up 3 with like 3 minutes left in the game and they'll just stop ball movement all together. It's "give the ball to tucker" basketball where they feed Jefferson or Millsap for isolation plays, and their defense goes to . It's infuriating to watch.
good win. the team played better in the 2nd half![]()
They don't have any reliable perimeter players..
Gordon Hayward is a decent player, but he's overrated IMO, and he's not a go-to guy in clutch time..the game vs. Boston being a good example where Hayward was atrocious down the stretch..
They have 4 potential starters at PF/C, but their best perimeter players are better suited as 6th men IMO(Hayward, Williams)..
Good job Spurs, wish I could've saw this game. Oh well. But where was Baynes...D-league?
based on? he played about 3 minutes of garbage time in the playoffs last year.
What you are asking is does he have the for ude to hit big shots under pressure. The only possible measure you could use there for comparison is international play, and he has hit PLENTY for Team Australia when the game was on the line.
Still remains to be seen if he can do that in the 'steve kerr' type role he'll have on the Spurs. In some ways that has to be tougher (psychologically?) than just being the man and knowing you have the freedom to just go out there and play your game. For instance last year like in that Golden State game when we sat everybody he had a pretty easy time getting in Team Ozzie mode, hit about a bazillion shots. It's gotta be a whole other beast to walk that tight rope of having to come in and hit shots or you're not helping the team and gonna get benched for the night.
The last couple games though have been a very good sign that he's starting to get it down. Hopefully he can keep that up, though who knows how Neal coming back will effect all that, they have such overlapping skill sets in terms of what they can bring to this Spurs team. In a perfect world, by the playoffs they'll both be hitting shots, and Pop can use them interchangeably depending on who has the hotter hand on any given night.
Spurs just win and play team ball..............many teams can not do this. Pop is a genuis.
