Even Kawhi coming back from the s.
People with the cliffjumping like Spurs suck now.![]()
Yeah, with homecourt advantage, I think it might be a 7 game series. Without home court advantage, I don't think Spurs can beat them. Houston blow average teams out.
Even Kawhi coming back from the s.

Troof!
Almost like he was coming back from rust/ s.![]()
If Kawhi was normal Kawhi we win easily.
I'd still want Home court advantage against both the Rockets and Clippers if it comes down to it. Playing and beating both those teams would be great preparation for the Warriors.
Spurs are 2-0 @ Houston & have a better road record than home record.![]()
Pop takes some kind of perverse pride in not doing that. I know he's a well-respected coach and all, but the results of that strategy haven't been very good.
These double standards are cool. Kawhi went 3-12 for the whole game. Watch him get a "C" grade for making a couple of free throws late in regulation.
Because as soon as you go to foul, the player with the ball shoots and ends up with 3 from the line. Happens all the time.
Almost every coach doesn't foul though. Very few do.
some pussies on here after every loss. and the usual spewed bull of "this team is screwed come playoff time." and always acting like the Warriors are such a flawless team when they have their own shortcomings.buh they blow out scrub teams that the Spurs can't.
Do you not recall Kawhi missing easy layups like that before at the end of games? Answer the question, stop dodging.
If you don't recall, you're a homer with a memory.
Yeah, I know. Probably why they're coaches, and I'm not. One of the reasons, anyway.
Haha - I agree. I would foul and that's even with being a guy that really buys into playing the proper odds (which not fouling technically falls into). But I would do it.
Basically, it took a much less than 100% Kawhi & Hardaway going off for a career high to pull off a miraculous home win.
Are you gonna use this game and analyse Kawhi?
Dude was coming back from the s. Anyone who actually takes anything out of this game.![]()
He missed the layup against Houston but LMA got the blame because he couldn't put back the bunny off of Kawhi's brick.
Nice game by LMA even in the loss.
I'm starting to worry about the squad, we haven't won a single game this year.
Name me some teams in NBA history that have won more games on the road in the playoffs than at home and won the Championship. That kind of thing can help, but you can't expect to win Championships without home court advantage. If the Spurs finish 3rd, then they might be in a situation where round 2, 3 and finals will be on the road. They're also playing against the Cavs for the 2nd overall seed, not just Houston.
That kind of thing is great in the regular season, but it won't translate as much in the playoffs when they're not playing against average teams on the road.
