I guess y'all forgot the Spurs paid Doug McDermott 13 million per year in 2021. Of course it was by far the highest salary of his life, but "that's who we are".

The list/article on the previous page with the Centers, what are those salary numbers listed? Is that what the article writer projects those guys to make?

I guess y'all forgot the Spurs paid Doug McDermott 13 million per year in 2021. Of course it was by far the highest salary of his life, but "that's who we are".
I didn't watch the team much at all around that time. Was that the Spurs that gave him that, or did they get him with that much on his contract? If it was the Spurs, was that to reach the salary floor?

    woah

What does this mean? Are teams paying people like it's projected to increase 10%?

i dont understand this. ok, so if we traded for Lauri last summer, his salary was 18 mil. and then if we extended him or re-signed him as a free agent, he would have gotten basically the same deal he has now anyway. so we'd still be sitting on Lauri with a 45+ mil number for the 25-26 season.

if it made sense to get him last year, it would have been with the expectation that he'd be more than a 1 year rental... would have re-signed for functionally the same deal he has now. so if it made sense then, it makes sense now. its not like his higher salary makes putting together a deal hard. it would still be something like Vassell/KJ, just like the Durant structure
This team isnt in the same position as it was last Summer. We've made substantial changes.

Meaning it's going to be at $165.47M instead of the projected $170M.

Do any of you all have an issue where you can’t see tweets all the time? Sometimes, I just see blank spaces with the tweet showing up eventually after I refresh the page.

I certainly fall in that group. I have assumed for a while the cap would go up 10% every year for the next several.

Not a cap guy ... About the 7% in lieu of 10% bump to cap in 2026/2027, might that affect whatever discussions Spurs have with Fox regarding his extension?

Doesn't help the forum software is woefully out of date. I don't think it's been supported by vbulletin for damn near 10 years. It's as if the forum is running on the equivalent of windows vista or 7.

This happens to me around 40% of the time. Usually a refresh of the page works. If not, Exstatic said you can quote the post and usually the URL is there and you can copy the link to see the linked tweet.
