Lol one year I hope Durant gets the same injury as Leonard had

Bron to the Lakers makes perfect sense when you realize it's a stepping stone to his post-career: Hollywood, media mogul, etc. Dude knows he's probably not beating the Warriors while they're together (PHI: Embiid's health and fit with SImmons, HOU: CP0's health and fit with Harden). There's no clear path to beating the Dubs right now and you might as well chill in LA as opposed to garbage ass Cleveland.
He’ll be eligible to be make significantly more money on a max deal next Summer. But yea.
Bingo.
only good thing about lebron going to the lakers is that he would all over kobe’s stats.
whenever they do a side by side comparisons lebron would be better in every category.
Probably, but maybe PG might not want the pressure of playing in front of his hometown.
James will slow down soon watch
Kobe has les as lakers James will not
Wish it were the Clippers. He gets Los Angeles and turns the Clippers into the marquee So Cal franchise for a few years to come. Like I said, going to the Lakers is such a in' cliché. I was hoping Lebron had some imagination in him. Apparently not.
Haha Thats a good point. Plan A was getting kawhi traded to lakers before july1. Hope he has a plan b , then C.
Uncle to kawhi on plan c - the FA path. " Hey neph, i got you to the lakers. Ignore the lack of contract & expected paycuts. Atleast we screwed the spurs. Oh , just dont get injured, we need you back at your best first, the endorsements will follow."
Yeah, but the Clippers having for capspace this summer (Doc) and losing CP0 last year f'd up their chances. I'm assuming Paul probably also told him that Doc is annoying AF.
From a legacy and bball standpoint, Lakers are a dumb choice but maybe the '16 le made him comfortable.
wtf
I wouldn’t trade Simmons or Embid for the entire Lakers team. Lakers won a game against the 6ers last year. Wow.
True. Didn't consider the cap space element.
Bron going from Ty Lue to Luke Walton. Spurs should hire Slava Medvedenko to replace Pop if they really wanted this![]()
I think Lebron is totally comfortable with his legacy already tbh. Just based on interviews and the way he speaks now, he seems to know that he’s probably going to go down as the GOAT, or at least be on the exact same level as MJ, regardless of what happens for the rest of his career. He’s going to shatter pretty much all of MJ’s records before it’s all said and done and he has a chance to play for a long time in LA. It’ll also be a of a lot easier to convince guys take pay-cuts to come play with him, as opposed to trying to convince guys to do so in the hole that is CLE. Even if he “only” wins one or two more rings, that’s just icing on the cake. He’s set in his legacy, he’s good.
Lebron will never play for a great coach imo. He is the coach. He wants complete a total control of his team, and quite frankly, the franchise. A pushover and people-pleaser like Magic is perfect for him. I guarantee they’ll communicate on any and every deal made from here on forward.
^Yup, Magic is perfect for LeBron.
I can't see Lebron having the same power in LA, that he had in CLE, along as Magic is running the Lakers.
Didn't Magic push out Paul Westhead early in his career?
Maybe, but Magics comment of "2 years without a superstar and I'll resign" reeks of desperation.
Wtf. No. Hes the best physical specimen of a basketball player with a weaker compe ive spirit than kobe bryant. Nothing he can do will propel him to GOAT. If he goes to la and doesnt win he will be behind bryant.
