Inside Texas saying the staff talked to Kelly today and there's a good chance he'll visit.
Appears we need either CJ or LJH to return. We need a jump ball threat for Sam.
Sam has to have a guy to get him out of trouble. He missed Duvernay wide open a number of times. Moore and Eagles are on my mind, especially Moore. OL loses Anderson. We really need young guys to step in. I’m hoping Overshown moves to LB. At corners.... can Watson possibly start because I don’t like what I saw last year.
I personally think 9-3 would be a respectful record next season if it came with some blowouts. I felt better about the personnel last year honestly. I will factor in experience to calm myself.
Where will we be better next year other than another year under Sam’s belt? WR? OL? RB? DL? CB? LB? TE? Safety, yes. If Jones stays. I’m a bit worried.
Is it time to turn the page on this year? I hope we win the big 12(-2) next year, but oline, dline replacements, and secondary positions make me nervous. I think Floyd is going to be a beast at LB along with Johnson. I wish we could get Floyd for the game against Georgia tbh.
It boils down to Sam taking a next step forward.
Per 24/7, they haven't heard that ATH Bru McCoy signed yesterday but he has been accepted by both Texas and USC.
Coach Mehringer has spoken with the famiy in the last 48 hours and he's still scheduled to announce his decision at the All-American Bowl on January 5th.
Also from 24/7, they expect OL Isaiah Hoofkin of Fort Bend Dulles to sign his LOI before the early signing period ends.
Things are trending positively for Texas, but it isn't a slam dunk.
If you want to know how weird this recruitment is, the Hoofkin family claimed they weren't aware of all the problems Baylor has had in the past.
For sure. For me it comes down the offensive line performing better and better downfield blocking.
and staying healthy. herman has to do what he can to keep sam healthy because of the way he plays. the kid his tough but prone to shoulder injuries and concussions as a result of his fullback like demeanor.
So we had to negative recruit Baylor to win the battle for a 3 star prospect? Yep, that’s pretty weird.
And we got to stop people.
It’s bigger than Sam, he is not Kyler Murray with a great offense of line. If we had two lock down CBs and a pass rush, Orlando would not have to be manipulating and scheming so much every game. There is no doubt the big 12 presents some defensive nightmares because of the offenses. But when you possess guys who can beat their man one on one across most of the field, defense becomes much easier. I felt like we were on the back foot most of the time trying to adjust instead of imposing R will.
I ask for too much

And, Who becomes Poona Ford this year?
That Poona Ford by committee.... nopes.
Exactly.
And apparently a project prospect.
we don’t underestimate 3 star OL anymore. Our best OL of recent have been 3 stars...Connor Williams and Sam Cosmi.
Better or any pressure by the defensive line will cure many of the ailments of the secondary.
This . The maturing and development of large human beings is a hard thing to predict.
