You have to feel Cleveland's frustration a little bit. They've pretty much had to swallow their pride and let Lebron do his sideshow for years. I wonder how Spurs fans would've felt if Duncan was doing the things Bron did only to conclude it with a 1-hour ESPN Special.

Heat have to move Beasley to make room for the "big 3" correct??????
Wolves-Heat deal, sources say, calls for 'Sota to absorb Beasley into cap space and send its 2011 second-round pick to Miami to seal deal

@STEIN_LINE_HQ Wolves/Heat also agree to unspecified swap of future first-round picks. Heat turned to 'Sota after four-way trade w/TOR, HOU, CHA dissolve

There is no trade exception for the Miami Heat. They will renounce that exception and use the cap space to sign LeBron James.

Lebron doesn't know what's going on. Hes changed his mind so many times. I legitimately think he thought he was signing with cleveland until today. He must have told Gilbert he was staying and then changed his mind which would explain Gilberts rage.
If that's how it went down then Gilbert's anger is more than justified. Lebron didn't owe it to Cleveland to go back there if he thought another location was in his best interests. But if he committed to them and changed his mind, he did owe it to them to let them know some other way than letting them find out by watching his lebron-a-thon television special.

Again, all that being IF that's how it actually went down.

Part of the reason there is a salary cap is to prevent one particular team from cornering too many (ie. more than 2) of the league's best players. So much for that. you LBJ.

I really hope their egos get in the way and they combust like the 2004 Fakers.

    Ugh.

In think Wade and Reilly had this elaborate scheme planned all along and LeBron got worked .

Yea and I think bron knew exactly what he was doing. Wade was never going to leave, that was obvious.

It takes weeks maybe a month or so to plan a hr long televised event on live tv.

I can't knock his hustle though.

Is it a coincidence that just when everybody thought the cap and lux tax were going to go down, all of a sudden they go up?

What I mean is, could the Heat pull this if the cap and lux tax would have gone down instead of up?

This should be a reminder of how lucky we are as Spurs fans to have had guys like David Robinson and Tim Duncan.
you men the tim duncan that almost bailed to magic if not for them not allowing his girlfriend on the plane.

and the david robinson that was strongly considering going to the lakers insted of spurs

Ok - I didn't know how TE worked when under the cap and I was hoping they wouldn't get one because that would be ed.

I hope for their downfall as well, but that Lakers team didn't combust. If Malone was as healthy against the Pistons as he was against the Spurs the Lakers win the le.

So DPG and Mel 13 were arguing with me about 3 Max deals on one team. Is that what is going to happen or will someone or all 3 have to take less money.

They'll have long term deals but they're going to sacrifice max money.

    Nah, wrong ones.

I mean the Tim Duncan that has stuck with the Spurs for his entire career to win 4 les, including being the leader one the team since basically his rookie year. And I mean the David Robinson that kept this team afloat (and in SA) in the 90s and also convinced a young TD to stay loyal.

Not many guys are ever 1 team players. These two are.

I don't know if LA wins the le with Malone in the lineup, but people seem to forget that you're talking about Malone and Payton when they were well past their primes..

Lebron and Wade are 2 of the 3 best players in the NBA, Bosh is a top 5 big man..they're all in their primes..

I wasn't alive the last time the league had a combination like this..

How would the Heat still have money to sign a guy like Mike Miller? Doesn't the rest of their team have to come from vet. min. contracts?
