I never screw up, ya see I do my homework.

In 1946 "Slingin' " Sammy Baugh completed 70% of his passes and he ended up with a 109.9 rating. Yep, as usual you're wrong yet again.

Let me put it like this....

    I grew up watching...

    Redskins...Sonnny Jurgenson HOF
    Eagles...Norm Snead
    Bears...Bill Wade
    Steelers...Bill Nelson
    Browns...Frank Ryan
    Niners...John Brodie
    Colts...John Unitas HOF
    Packers...Bart Starr HOF
    Cowboys...Don Meredith
    Lions...Milt Plum
    Vikings...Fran Tarkenton HOF
    Cards..Charley Johnson
    Rams...Roman Gabreil
    Giants....Y.A. tle HOF
    Oilers...George Blanda HOF....also kicked.
    Bills...Jack Kemp
    Patriots...Babe Parilli
    Jets...Joe Namath HOF
    Chiefs...Len Dawson HOF
    Raiders...Darly Lamonica
    Broncos...Frank Tripucka
    Chargers...Tobin Rote

...and everyone who came later. The best 4 year QB I've seen.....Russell Wilson. I've never seen a young QB do the things he can do. And neither has anyone else here. They are seeing something real special but are too damn stupid to realize it.

Let's take Drew Brees for another example, trust me (ya can Google it) his first 4 seasons, not even in the same time zone as RW's.

I'm telling ya, RW can hang with anyone if talking the start of an NFL career, I can't find anyone who did it better if we take everything into consideration.

Go ahead give me the name of a guy who had a better first 4 seasons? , Tom Brady was a back up, as was Aaron Rodgers. Who came in and played in 74 games in a 4 season span, yep....nobody. Going 53-21. Going 7-3 in the playoffs.
1946.... Did you see him play as well?

One example from a year right after the war?
    You are a lunatic.

Are conditions better for QB ratings better now, or when Unitas played?
You are in denial. Stick to the issue. You made a craptastic comparison between very different football eras.

A lunatic totally ignores the caliber of athletes involved in todays game vs back then. The defenses that these QB's face today on a whole/totally different level than what Unitas faced. And if ya understood the game you'd know this.

Willie Davis was a monster D lineman for those Lombardi Packers, he's in the HOF all 245 pounds of him. Art Donovan who played on the Colts was another HOF D tackle, at 265 pounds. Dude, you really don't get the obvious?

The fastest cornerback in football back then was Lenny Lyles, a Colt. He was a 9.6 sprinter for Louisville, that's about a 10.50 100m. Deion Sanders ran a 10.23, Darrell Green a 10.08.

Russell Wilson faces a whole other level of athletes than what those old timers faced. You don't know this?

    Take a seat son....ok?

The above has absolutely NOTHING to do with what I am saying about your assertion on QB ratings.

    Now again, answer the question.
In which era is it easier to get a high QB rating? Since you think the NFL was a passing league in the 40s thru 60s that could be compared to today's passing.

Try to answer the question and quit purposely straying (as portrayed by your quite obvious contentions that have nothing to do with my question)

Until you stop ignoring the fact these QB's today face far FAR better defenses you are wasting my time. Do you understand how fast these guys today have to get rid of the ball compared to back in the day....well?

Why do you think I'm so high on RW, could it because I have seen them all since Unitas? No way in Johhny U could play today, none.

Now talk to me about the differences in defences, ok? Stop ignoring the most important aspect of this....got it?

Fran Tarkenton could run around in circles for a good 5 seconds back then, no way he's doing that today.

Stupid, John Unitas played on an offense with 4 other HOFers, ok? He had the great Ray Berry, the great John Mackey and the great Lenny Moore, I know I know, ya don't get it.

    Try to focus.

QB ratings today vs. old timers.
Of course Ds are better today but so are the offenses and taking care of blitzes.
And I don't give a about Johnny U and you watching him.

    So focus.
    No gloves.
Huge wet muddy balls (no, not your testicles after a go with Moma hog in the slop)
Horrible equipment inhibiting throwing and catching (shoulder pads especially)

Do you get it? Now retract your silliness you old barnacle.

With each post ya get dumber and dumber, wow~~~~

Stupid why do you stuggle with this so badly? Those old timers had far more time to throw, ok dummy?

Being an idiot ya can't seem to figure out the differences between a guy like me who actually saw all that and a punk like you who only read about it.

RW has had a better first 4 seasons than anyone, why fight it?

While in HS he ran a 20.14 the second fastest 200m in history for a HS kid. Then off to Oklahoma State where he won the BIGI12 indoor 60, he also plays football.

Then he got in a fight with his girlfriend, it got ugly. He was kicked off the track/footbal teams. Then he just...poof~~~~

    Now he's at Weatern Alabams a D-II school. He runs a 4.26 40.

    Remember this name...Tyreek Hill.

    Yes.

And the Defense could sit and wait because it was so difficult to throw the damn ball and catch it.
There is no way they could throw an oversized wet muddy ball in a tight spiral, they threw a whole lot of wounded birds.

Why don't you tell us about the history of the football itself?

The changes in size and materials?

When I buy my NFL franchise (central Cali Comets) I'm going to run a three TE offense. One speed receiver and a big back (TE can also play the position)

The use of that...too big for a DB, too fast for a LB, works. So why not maximise it? The Pats had it going with Gronk/Hernandez. Like a big back these TE 's wear down a defense, CB's want no part of a big TE.

I'd go with six TE's, two big backs and three speed receivers. Everything built around getting my TE's involved.

74... You are bored because your whole premise of using QB ratings in the dark ages for comparison has blown up in your face.

When did the first player go over 100?
And how many times since and what years?

Tell us how the evolution of the football itself aided the passing game.

    Wrong as usual.

Prior to 1965, we had 15 seasons where some receiver caught over 70 passes.

Stupid, the first 100 reception season was Lionel Taylor in 1961, in 1964 Charley Hennigan had 101.

What are you re ed? The ball?...hahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Little man prior to 1955, we had...

    74
    66..twice
    77
    84
    63

    Footballs.....hahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bottom line ya dumb is that RW is the best 4 year QB we have seen. And we can start with "Slingin' " Sammy Baugh, Otto Graham, John Unitas, Roger Staubach, Joe Montana, John Elway, Peyton Manning....etc...it doesn't matter. And stop ignoring wins and playoff success.......ok rookie? And, I haven't even mentioned the HUGE difference in RW's running ability.

In the past 15 years The league has not failed to produce a 100 reception season and had multiples numerous times.

Adjust these numbers for your 14 game schedule you fool.

    2015 - Antonio Brown 136
    Julio Jones 136
    2014- Antonio Brown 129

And These are just the last two seasons and don't even show all the 100 reception receivers.

You are a total and utter fool.

They were catching, they were catching? Two players

You our bragged on the great 74 reception season. Adjust that to 143 by Marvin Harrison!

No tell me dummy how many times did RW throw the ball in his first 4 seasons.....well? What ya want to do ya stupid is look at what RW did vs those old timers, ok?

You're getting off the subject stupid.

There is no doubt they ran more back then but when they did throw they could....ok dummy?

    In 1961, Johnny U threw 420 passes, he had a 54.5 comp %, 16/24 TD/INT, and a 66.1 QB rating.

In 2013, RW threw the ball 407 times, he completed 63.1, 26/9 and a 101.2 QB rating, let me guess ya don't get it.

You were the idiot that tried to compare QB ratings present to past with the idiotic Johnny Unitas post.
That is MY comment that YOU attempted to brush aside.

OF COURSE THEY RAN MORE. Passing was terribly difficult as I stated. You said they had all day to throw the ball? So what happened to that excuse. If you can't throw the ball with velocity it does not matter, the defense can easily cover the entire field with a QB throwing flutter balls with a big wet muddy football.

Just admit you were wrong and move on. Passing, in the years you used to compare to present day, was very difficult.
