https://edition.cnn.com/2026/09/23/p...empted-suicideEight US Navy personnel assigned to the USS Abraham Lincoln carrier strike group attempted suicide during a period that included when the ships undertook combat operations against Iran and the carrier set a modern record for its time at sea, according to a letter from the service’s acting secretary, which was obtained by CNN.
Acting Navy Secretary Hung Cao revealed the number, which has not been previously reported and covers crew members from several ships that travel together, including the carrier, in written responses to questions posed by Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand about the morale and mental health of the USS Abraham Lincoln’s crew. Cao wrote that no service members had killed themselves during the deployment.
The rate of suicide attempts among the Lincoln strike group’s sailors was roughly consistent with that of the entire active duty Navy in 2024, the most recent year for which the Pentagon has released suicide data.
Anyone notice how Pete Hegseth spent the first few weeks of the Iran bombing campaign in front of the cameras telling us how awesome it was going and now we haven’t seen him for months?
left out the slavers and the Nazis, for some reason
"Send me to right the Redcoats, send me to fight the communists, send me to fight the Islamists. Send me."
Kriegsminister hegseth is a pitiful joke and a loser
https://techcrunch.com/2026/09/30/ha...g-data-breach/The U.S. government is reportedly alerting millions of current and former U.S. military service members and staff that their personal information was stolen during a months-long breach of the Pentagon’s personnel records, the latest in a spate of thefts involving federal workers’ data in recent months.
A data breach notification from the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC) shared on Reddit says that several unauthorized users exploited a security vulnerability in an unspecified file-sharing system over several months between October 2025 and mid-July 2026.
The breach exposed personally identifiable information, including Social Security numbers, alongside a person’s name, date of birth, sex, race, and other information about their military service. The notice says that the personnel records were unencrypted.
According to CNN and Federal News Network, a Pentagon official said the breach affects about 2.8 million living people, and close to 300,000 people who are deceased.
The U.S. military has 1.3 million active service members as of March.

fatties and beardos beware, but Pete can't protect American bombers 3400 miles away from Iran
www.nytimes.com/2026/10/04/u...The US rushed over the weekend to withdraw all 12 B-1 Air Force bombers from RAF Fairford in southern England after commanders received new threats about an Iran-backed plot against the installation, two U.S. officials said on Sunday
terrible form, trails three women on the track...badly
Pete's a bureaucrat now, he needs to start acting like one
Terrible idea, Pete clearly hasn't thought through the precedent he's setting for public execution by political fiat in the US
There are four countries in the whole world who do this, not a club the USA should belong to -- Iran, North Korea, Somalia and Saudi Arabia
Reportedly, none of them televise public executions
Hegseth on Nidal Hasan: "He's gonna get a firing squad of soldiers. As it should be. We'll make sure that people are able to watch it. That it's public. Because people need to understand that there's serious consequences for these types of things."

the TOS of i would guess every single streaming service would forbid this
maybe it'll be streamed on Trump TV
Saudi Arabia reportedly stopped executing people in public in 2022
Kriegsminister Pete seems to have a thing for publicizing snuff films
Turning state violence into public spectacle is very fash
Fidel Castro televised state executions, great example to follow
ISIS livestreamed executions
So did the Christchurch shooter
Ossoff: "I think Pete Hegseth is frankly a deeply unwell person who seems to relish this kind of brutality all the while he's running a department that is falling into chaos. The guy cannot run the military competently and is spending his time with this kind of obscene medieval spectacle."
https://www.techdirt.com/2026/10/09/...-firing-squad/Remember, some of the earliest moral panic over how “bad” social media is came from US elected officials losing their minds about terrorist execution videos on YouTube. It’s kind of incredible how far we’ve come: Now the US government itself is planning to stream a gruesome execution of its own, and any platform that pushes back will likely be attacked by the president and his supporters for not being patriotic enough.
