    Yes you are wrong.

If that many people foul out that it gets down to four, they bring back in the first one that fouled out and get assessed a T or something if he fouls again.
    oh wow. ok thanks.

    I agree.

It's just that Udrih has been frustrating me this entire season. And he is the point guard while Parker takes breathers... Us getting outscored while he's on the floor has a lot to do with how he gets the offense rolling. His +/- numbers were good last season... for a point guard they are absolutely terrible this season.
I'm probably as pissed at him as anybody else, but I'm trying to point out that the problems runs a lot deeper than just Beno.

If I could honestly say "take Beno out and we would have won" I'd be confident that a quick solution is possible. But after tonight's game - I can't.

I think if a team is down to 4 because of fouls and/or injury then its permissible. I may be wrong...anyone?
    a. Each team shall consist of five players. No team may be reduced to less than five players. If a player in the game receives his sixth personal foul and all subs utes have already been disqualified, said player shall remain in the game and shall be charged with a personal and team foul. A technical foul also shall be assessed against his team. All subsequent personal fouls, including offensive fouls, shall be treated similarly. All players who have six or more personal fouls and remain in the game shall be treated similarly.
    b. In the event that there are only five eligible players remaining and one of these players is injured and must leave the game or is ejected, he must be replaced by the last player who was disqualified by reason of receiving six personal fouls. Each subsequent requirement to replace an injured or ejected player will be treated in this inverse order. Any such re-entry into a game by a disqualified player shall be penalized by a technical foul.
    c. In the event that a player becomes ill and must leave the court while the ball is in play, the official will stop play immediately when his team gains new possession. The player shall be replaced and no technical foul will be assessed. The opposing team is also permitted to subs ute one player.

That's for the rule clarification, Shoog. I knew it was something like that.

A part of me died on that play.
I called it the Worst Play of the Year when it happened.

Now that I think about it, it may be the Worst Play of the last 5 years.

Very true. The Spurs could have won this game. The Spurs have the talent to win this and other games but as a unit they are not doing as well as they could be.

A shakeup has to be done but it has to be the right kind. The Spurs can't make a trade for the sole purpose of making a trade. The right trade could mean another le, the wrong one could set the Spurs back even further.

We can't trade Barry unless his salary is absolutely needed to get all-star caliber player in return.

His ability to knock down the occasional clutch 3 pointer is the reason we need to treat him more like Kerr than like some 'old white swingman'. There aren't many Barry type players in the league. If only he play up to his potential every night though.... with a little more aggresiveness and la little less tentativeness on his 'open' looks.

There's no such thing as a good loss, but that was a bad one...

The worst thing about the game was it didn't look like a fluke, either. The Lakers looked like the better team. In San Antonio. Without Brown (who actually gives Timmy problems) or Odom (who's a nightmare matchup for us). Not good.

To me, everyone on the whole team can be traded right now if it makes good basketball sense to do so. Though, any trade with Tim, Manu, Tony or Bruce probably doesn't. So I guess those players are out of the mix.

we got blown out by a Bulls team missing its best defenders the other night. What did you expect? For us to play like we wanted it?

I guess what I'm trying to say is that the FO should dangle our other assets first before dangling Barry as trade bait (outside of the Big 4 of course).

    Scola's rights,
    Williams' expiring contract
    Butler
    White
    Beno

    even
    Horry
    and
    Finley.

Please don't let us trade Butler or White... both those guys have tons of potential... and they are young for Christ's sake!

Scola's rights, they've been dangling for years. I don't think anyone is taking the risk. Williams' contract combined with another player might be worth something to someone. I'm not sure Butler or White are worth anything to anyone. Beno has been being shopped for years. Hopefully someone eventually bites.

Horry, I'm not sure about. Finley is probably being dangled as much as Barry but more teams would probably take Barry right now.

The Spurs need to try to pluck players from Seattle. They don't want to keep both Watson and Ridnour. They are dangling Damien Wilkins, Johan Petro. Even Ray and Rashard can be had (though I don't know if the Spurs would want their level of contract).

But the Spurs are hamstringed by this crazy need to not take on contracts beyond next year...

Earl Watson wouldn't be a cure all by any means, but he would sure stop some of the bleeding.

See above. Watson is very expensive and his contract runs for too many years (for this Spurs' FO).

They probably both make too much money for the Spurs to consider them for backup point. But I was just throwing that out there. There's plenty of teams looking to move players.

Yeah, usually I don't start caring until the playoffs, but that was just a disgrace.

It was a slap in the face to the fans and the jerseys hanging in the rafters. If the Spurs don't feel like playing hard and the coaches don't feel like managing a game at least to the point where you have the right number of players on the court, just stop the game and go home.
