Well, this is true and if you were looking at points scored "efficiency" then yes I would agree, but being an overall player is more about how efficiently you can score points.
Ginobili's assist ability has gone way up compared to 2005 which is humongous.
It's probably a wash. I just don't think 2005 ginobili is clearly better than 2007 or 2010 gino. You give up some offensive efficiency, but you gain greater assist capability, court vision, and spacing.
Seriously his spacing on pick and rolls/screen and rolls are impeccable now. He didn't have that in 2005.
