7-0 win on a 3 hitter on the road vs the hottest team in the league? are you kidding me? where was this vs oakland?
I'm thinking the Rangers overlooked Oakland because of their standing and the fact the roadie to Anaheim immediately followed. Lack of focus cost them a game or two.

What was that you were saying about Holland EricB?
Time to eat some crow! I was dissing Holland a few pages back but he has convinced me otherwise.

Boston is in a free fall. We should have a fairly easy series against the Indians. Angels have the Rays. Hopefully Tampa can take 2 of 3 there.

Maybe. We did sweep them earlier this year in embarassing fashion so they might have a little chip on their shoulder.

and for Angels/Rays because those 2 teams are our biggest threats IMO, with Boston falling, so someone has to lose

    Padilla was also making $10M/year.

You don't get to be both a rich asshole and mediocre on the mound.

Boston played like tonight and got a one run win. I say the Tigers take the next 2. And the Rays are tied up with the Angels 6-6 in the 5th!

1.5 out of the wild card, 5 out of the division?

I'd say they are playing for the wild card...

Especially when you can't even beat freaking Cleveland...

Feliz is just sick...this guy is insane. My question is, is he better as a reliever, or would he be a better closer. Definitely don't want him as a starter..this guy needs to pitch more regular than that. I guess relief is good...get more innings out of him...just no effort in his delivery..struck out the side. He has now gotten 16 of 17 batters out that he's faced in the pros...wow.
