We almost choked to death out there... but I still think it's a good sign that we made so many boneheaded plays and missed so many gimmes and still pulled out the win against a great team.

Spurs played 8 on 5 tonight - called right this was a blowout but still Spurs down after one and 8 in 2nd came back got lead lost it then won when it counted so all is good
TBH, the officiating was strange, but the thing that killed the Spurs was their inability to make shots and their inability to rebound. They were killed on boards.

Spurs now 10-1 in games decided by 4 or less. The bench absolutely kept us in the game with big games from Neal and Bonner. I remember Pop saying at the ASG that he wanted a "stop on demand" defense, and he sure as got that the last couple possessions after 2 stupid fouls by Tim and 1 by Parker. That's a good sign.

That was a great shot from TP with the game on the line. Biggest shot of the game IMO.

I'm thinking TP is going to have to lead us because Manu looks like total on offense lately. Maybe Manu should take a back seat and give TP more shots?

Why do you guys think TP is not taking midrange jumpshots? It seems that he is determined to drive and if that's not there pass out to a three point shooter. I'd like to see TP start taking and hitting his midrange jumper. Same with Manu. Why must he take 3s all the time. How about both these guys take some midrange shots to get their shooting going.

Brutal game. Happy they managed to salvage a W, but they certainly can't keep on like that if they expect to win longterm.

Bizarre game though. WTF, refs? And how many shots could they miss?!
Yeah true dat. At least we got 4 crappy teams next. That in turn should be 4 easy wins before playing the Heat and the fakers.

Manu is still playing too many minutes IMO. He played 32 tonight he needs to be under 30 almost every night from here to the end IMO. Let Tony play more minutes and rely on Hill and Neal to step in and play ball. We can afford to lose a couple games.

I'm also worried about the rebounding. Bonner is just horrid out there on the glass. He gives us some other things, but he's very deficient in other areas like rebounding.

    Next up: Nets on Friday.

They just got D. Williams, so they could be a different team.

Its going to be 5 on 1. Deron is good but not that good. The Nets are seriously depleted right now.

I could go with that. TP should look to take over a little more of the offense. I really do think TP needs to look for his midrange shots more though so he is not tiring himself out driving to the rack as his only offense.

Hill is the guy that is hurting us the most lately. He's just not playing good enough to let Manu get less minutes. Hill is more than capable, and that is what is a little disappointing. Hill really needs to step up. He's Mr weak when taking it to the rack the last few games. I wanna see some G-FORCE from Hill going to the rack, not Mr weak.

TP needs to shoot more jumpers and Manu needs to shoot less.

I think TP got a little discouraged driving it to the lane because he missed a few there at the end. The refs sure didn't help any. He got hammered a couple of times and no calls were made.

That's putting it simply, but I disagree.

Manu needs to get his shooting back and the midrange in an easier shot. He needs to take more jumpers inside IMO to get his shooting going again. Only take a 3 if it's open or he's hot. He just needs to stop using the 3 as his main shot.

TP is playing his ass off and getting hammered in there. I would like him taking and making his midrange shot cause I don't want him to get worn out driving to the rack for every play.

It's obviously due fatigue related to his age. He can't drive as well as he used to so he's relying on the jumper. The thing is when he does drive great things happen so he needs to push through it and take it to the hole. In the playoffs this will be a necessity.

He won us the game with big play, but he also missed two free throws. He needs to hit those because if this game were tied or closer those misses could have been huge.

Key word is the playoffs. We don't want him driving exclusively just yet and getting more worn out. A little too early for that IMO.

Hill definitely needs to play better. Honestly, Hill is very lucky Neal has come in and bailed his ass out this season. I actually liked what I saw from Hill tonight tbh, he drove the ball and was playing more aggressively then recently but just missed some chip shots he will usually make. I think he knows he has to be aggressive when he is in the game. A passive George Hill is as good as a defensive Matt Bonner. If George is in the game then he needs to take the ball to the rack and stay aggressive, just like when Matt is in the game he needs to shoot the ball.
