lol, what a great point I just read: the talent level in the highest of professional leagues in the sport, the NBA, is greater than that of the NCAA, where college players play.

You know what, the NFL, talent wise, blows NCAA football out of the water!!!!!! They are just soooo much better. Did you know that!?!?!?!?!?!11!

    College football is still awesome.

Tbh, why does Alvarez have an avatar of Ginobili wearing an NBA championship ring if he thinks the NBA sucks?

Another thing is that in the NBA Playoffs there are rarely any upsets and when there are any it's not as exciting.

Last year for example, the Spurs were a 7 seed who "upset" the Mavs (a 2 seed) but is it really that shocking that Ginobili, Duncan, and Parker beat Kidd, Nowitzki, and Butler in a 7 game series?

If VCU wins this game and Kentucky beats UNC, Arizona losing is gonna sting even more.

If you want to think of it like that, sure.

One of the only reasons I follow the NBA is because my favorite athlete of all time plays in it. Other than that, I don't really care for it THAT much. Why is this so shocking to some of you?

I simply think the NBA could be a much better league, not near its potential, but I understand its commercial limitations. IMO, perhaps 5-game series in the playoffs would be better, or some other system than the current. There's a reason a lot of people lose interest in the NBA playoffs relatively quickly, especially if their team didn't make it or if they got knocked out in the first or second round. It's too damn long, and so is the regular season.

50-ish games would be a lot better in my opinion, any given game would matter a lot more than they do with the status quo, there'd be a higher intensity level in general. No games off due to disinterest, less minute-managing. You guys like this system where the goal for many of our teams is simply to survive, to last the regular season without injuries?

I don't know, I'd like to think a good amount of people would agree with me on this, somehow my ideas are radical.

A 7 game series is good in the sense that the better team wins 99% of the time, but the playoffs usually have 4 teams that are real contenders and 12 teams that just made the playoffs by default. It'd be better if there were actually even teams so there were 7 extremely exciting games, like the 2009 Celtics Bulls series.

Kansas, a #1 seed, has shown that they cannot:

    1) Handle a fullcourt press
    2) Make an entry pass to the post
    3) Make a FT
    4) Play transition defense
    5) Guard the 3-point line

How did they get this far?

    Exactly.

Does anybody really think there's a remote chance that a team like Philly/New Orleans/Denver/Atlanta are gonna even make the conference finals?

We all know in the West it's gonna be any combination of Lakers/Mavs/ or Spurs in the WCF and Bulls/Celtics/Heat in the ECF.
