Even still, it'd be understandable if you still flew your US flag as a resident of Denmark. Considering you weren't born and raised there. And you'd receive the same, and even better, opportunities in the US. You wouldn't be fleeing the US because there's no work here. But depending on the cir stances, it could still be somewhat disrespectful to the people of Denmark because their government is "allowing" you to be there. I see so many people talking about their Mexican pride and heritage, yet they weren't born or raised in Mexico and some have never even been to Mexico.

The majority of mexican immigrants are hard working people who just wanted a better life for their family and knew they could find it here. The thing that gets me is that they still view the US as the bad guy. It's an "us vs. them" at ude where they couldn't care less about the US and would rather have their own little Mexico here. It's one thing to be proud of your roots. It's another thing to continuously on the your "home" country. The two shouldn't be mutually exclusive.

Wouldn't this be expected given a large %age of US citizens have that same at ude, towards many minority groups??? Kind of unrealistic to expect immigrants to embrace US culture immediately if they are constantly harassed over stupid things they can't control. It can take generations, not much different than any newcomers to the US. You think Mexican kids like being bullied and harassed in school by people of the dominant race in the US?? Makes a lot of sense they don't forget their culture and immediately start rockin bandanas with cutoff sleeves sporting a bald eagle on one shoulder and a US flag on the other. Tbh, I never saw a Messican get bullied at school for being Messican. I have, howeva, seen several occasions where several Messicans jumped/stabbed a different race (black for the most part).

This isn't Tyson_Chandler or any Mavs fan at all for that matter (it's a no brainer who I am).

I'd be willing to bet most high schools are like the one I went to. I've never heard of a story where a Mexican in high school got bullied by white kids.

I've heard it plenty of times at several levels (high school, middle school, late elementary), obviously it comes out differently depending on the age. But there's harassment everywhere.

umm... yeah, because your life experience and school are definitely the inter-cultural gauge by which all other schools are measured and defined...

I went to a predominantly 'white' school... Midway through my senior year I received death threats because a certain group of people didn't want me to graduate as the school's Valedictorian... Little did they realize their threats only made me work harder to achieve that goal, as I became the school's first Hispanic Valedictorian (and were talking about South Texas here, where Mexicans supposedly lurk behind every tree and brush )... If I'm not mistaken my ulative GPA is still the school's best.

Never once, however, did I use that experience to suggest that the whole country felt that way, or even the majority of our society.

Fact is, I don't go around asking users if they're trolls or not... So when I see that sort of BS posted it still boils my blood... It doesn't matter if their POV/take is faked or not, it still has to be squashed... I know you understand that people 'out there' actually embrace those anti-Mexican sentiments. They blame 'us' for all of our country's supposed ills... How do I know if DoK is not among them...?

Also, this is not some morally-neutral subject like a "Hakeem vs. David," or a "Shaq vs. Tim" type argument... despite the subjectivity involved in both of those arguments, and the subjectivity involved when discussing 'racism'... So if one were to 'troll' one of the former threads, while annoying, they aren't doing anything inherently reprehensible... Trolling on the subject of racism, however, is... I don't take racism lightly, and I'm sorry if you feel my passion against that cause blurs my better judgement to engage in counterargument...
