Is Danny Green even a good solid defender.

He makes plays on defense, but I don't know if I would call him a good defender.

ing TD played his heart out and these ers let him down again.
Pretty good D on that last possession. Mo's just pretty clutch in December games.

Told y'all this felt like a loss.

BTW, Spurs will lose at Portland and again back at home against the Celtics.
Nah. Portland is always tough for the Spurs, but the Celtics aren't the same Celtics anymore. They don't have a bench and they had to go 2 OT's tonight to beat the lowly Mavs IN Boston....

even though this loss isn't on Blair its always nice to have a scapegoat. he didn't play any meaningful minutes, and we had an 8 point lead that we coughed up late. that wasn't on blair. either way, his effort tonight was disgusting

It would have helped if he would have made that wide open shot from the baseline with under a minute to go...

Should've given Joseph's minutes to Patty, tbh. +8 with him, Ginobili and Splitter on the court.

So annoying considering the Spurs had this one in the bag and uncharacteristically choked down the stretch. That's why this loss is ty as . Oh, and they play in Portland tomorrow.
Spurs do this a few times a year, one loss that just makes you shake your head.

why didnt pop play splitter more, fkn diaw is like a black hole on the court very passive
I think Splitter should've gotten about half of Blair's minutes and that...*sigh* Bonner...should've gotten the other half of Blair's minutes. Pop needs to start someone else. Especially against teams with decent bigs.

It was that last rebound. Had the Spurs got it, it would've been Neal hitting that GW 3.
Yep, he was 2/9 in the game. That last shot surely would have went in.

I don't get blaming Green on that last shot. A 2-for-8 Mo Williams shooting a long three-pointer over an outstretched defender is a shot I'll definitely live with considering how the Jazz were beasting in the paint.

some real dumb plays by the roleplayers at the end. Green's foul and Diaw's turnover hurt.

Timmy having a big game is pretty much the same as Kobe puttin up 30. Usually leads to a loss for their team.

Well not as bad as Kobe

I would be surprised if Spurs lose to Portland. Their bench sucks. Batum is injured and won't be available to play one of his fluke games he always has against us. Matthews is also out. They're starting Sasha ING Pavlovic.

I agree. Mo just made an amazing shot. That one must have been from 27 feet out.

I was actually glad they decided to iso their pg against Green. Green has historically done pretty decent, and the Jeremy Lin shot clock violation is still fresh in our mind. a pull up 26-27 footer is something we have to live with. millsap would have gotten a layup if he got the ball

I hate the Jazz crowd. I hate Mo Williams. I hate Randy Foye. This loss hurt...

But I won't lose sleep over it. The team ed up, but Jazz are tough at home. We almost stole this game. Onto the next one. As much as Tim played tonight, Pop can't rest him against Portland. No need to drop that winnable game.
+1. While Portland is always tough at home against the Spurs, the Blazers havent exactly been tearing up the nets lately. They set an NBA record going 0 for 20 from the three point line the other night...

Yeah, as much as Danny Green played like ass, there really isn't much you could ask for on that last possession. Mo hit a really tough shot.

Matt Bonner actually played pretty well.

I agree that Splitter should get more minutes. I think he should close out the games and not Diaw. Hopefully, we'll see that come playoffs time.

I remember when Mehmet Okur hit that buzzer-beater in Utah to beat the Spurs in January 2005.

That pretty much ended the 2005 Spurs' chances to win anything.

Damn I didn't know that. So Batum AND Matthews are both going to be out?
