also whoever is saying lewandowski had a poor series needs to watch how real marked him (super physically and over-loaded) ... that's how the flanks got open. Y'all s need to read a book about tactics tbh god bless tbh

Nah son I was saying he is antiquated. When they loaded him the flanks opened but he is such an antiquated player that he still stayed mostly at the box so even all that space, real had the men in the middle to whatever crossess came their way.

If he was a true top 10 talent, he would have went deep, played the false nine. That way nkt only is the flank open but also the box.

But Lewandoski doesnt have the skillsets to play as a false nine.

    Thats his problem.

Benz or Someone like firminho woukd have dominated in this series.

lol son did you watch the game tbh?

that was the strategy, lewandowski had both ramos and varane busy, that's why all bayern action came on far-post crosses, because the box was opened up by lewandowski's taking 2 guys to guard. That's how bayern produced their chances. And that's coaching right there, where you use a piece to negate other pieces and in doing so you open up the board, and it also takes a high level team-first player to pull it off. Bayern did the same thing to penaldo tbh, do you think penaldo is antiquated ?

you have much to learn lil .

tbh you're underrating an in-form ribbery. also it wasn't just ribbery, bayern have amazing play on the flanks : kimmich, alaba, mueller, ribbery are a ing handful for any defense. Add lewandowski creating space up front and you get a much stronger flank team than liverpool. It's not a one man effort, it's both the personnel and the strategy that made real so vulnerable in this series.
Your other winger was gone no? Ribbery caused immense trouble. A 35 yo man. Tactics are fine on paper but if you can’t be flexible it does not matter, one plan can quickly go out the window. There is no way Madrid wanted Ribbery creating that much havoc in 2 games. I guess you need to explain how Robbin being injured made Ribbery a threat. Bayern had every right to get multiple goals off Ribbery low crosses.

You are underestimating Salah. And Liverpool’s ability to attack in various ways without a true CF. Now defense... That’s a problem.

Since when did he become a liverpool fan? I've never seen him cheering on the team in the past until Mo Saleh arrived on the scene.

He was all over Kane's nutsack earlier in the season when he was leading the EPL in goals.( also white and european, that's 2 strikes against Kane right there )

Not a slight toward Saleh, but as far as I'm concerned, Mo needs to grab some serious hardware over the next couple of years and needs to do what he's been doing for more than a half a season before throwing his name in the ring with the Messi's and Sidenaldo's of the world. Anyone can have a break out season but staying on top is another story.

Absolutely on Salah. He had a great season. One.

    Teams catch on.

Personally I hope he stays injury free and keeps his form because he is really fun to watch.

wtf bolded never did I imply that.

son I was talking about bayern strategy of keeping real's defense busy with lewandowski while laying waste on the wings. Ribbery alone didn't create all that trouble, alaba/kimmich had monster runs and needed to be covered. Also 35 in form year old former world class players are still exceptional.

i'm not underestimating salah, I'm properly rating liverpool.

Ribbery was by far the top playmaker in BOTH games.

He just needed to find the net because his team could not convert chances he gave them.

Robben being gone looks to have ignited Frank or something.
One would think Robben being gone would have caused him more problems.

    And...
Then rate Liverpool as vulnerable for the proper reasons.

Bayern could have easily won. That back pass and then misplay by the goalkeeper. Two awful plays during the same sequence. I think Bayern was clearly better 2nd game.

Toothless attack which has been the issue all season long.

I like Valverde but he absolutely got the tactics 100% in the return leg. Barca have yet to have a great manager since Pep.

They weren't gonna win CL anyway this season had they beaten Roma. Their defense was getting worse as the season wore on. Um i has turned to since the contract renewal issues have come up.

Next season with Coutinho, a more comfortable Dembele and potentially Griezman we should see the best Barca team since 2015.

agree tbh. And bayern were the best team in both games. But life is a mother er son, that's why experience and killer instinct are so important in high stakes games, you gotta take the chances.
